Lorna has over thirty years experience of researching records within Scotland. What started out as a look into her own family history around Haddington in East Lothian has turned into a passion to helping others find their roots and heritage. Lorna enjoys looking at the social aspect of genealogy (i.E. , putting the ancestor in context around events that were happening) and how and why people migrated.
Her training and background has very much always been around children and families (gaining a BSc Upper Second in Health and Social Care) with the Open University, being a childminder; looking into research of children's experiences of childhood, the traumas they experience, issues with self-identity and the need to belong to somewhere. This need to assist others on their quest to find their heritage has lead to her enjoyment and professional approach to genealogy.0 FreeIndex Reviews
