Nick was super helpful and visited promptly. I needed a lock changing due to moving house and not having a key for one of my front door locks. Efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

I have just completed my locksmiths course with Nick. At the age of 58 I decided to have a third and final career change after previously serving in the Army and the Police. I thought I would struggle to take the information in and digest it, but nick is a fantastic teacher and will explain things to you in laymans terms. I did a "mixed" course of both domestic and auto trades. Some of the auto training was hard to take in at first but by the end of the course I had a good understanding of the systems and practices involved. Before I came on nicks course I had a preconception of sitting in a "classroom " picking locks all day, but this could not be further from the truth ( but in a good way). A proportion of each day was given to riding out with nick to real time jobs, lockouts, replacement locks, auto car keys cut and programmed etc etc. This ride along time is. Absolutely invaluable as you will learn things here from nick that you will never learn or get your head around in a classroom scenario. Having completed the mixed course I now feel confident taking that knowledge into my own business. Nick is a wonderful trainer and is of the old school. His interaction with customers is something that some may not take notice of but to me that is a huge part of why nick is so successful. He is a true gentleman and is always available to call if you are stuck on a job. Another bonus is the Locksmiths Network after the course where you can just ping a message or help request and up to 80 locksmiths can give you their support. Great training course with valuable on the job training, great value for money.

What can I say about Nick, not only is he an outstanding locksmith he’s a very good teacher to. He definitely knows everything in regards to the lock world and It has been an honour to share a few days with him. His training is very relaxed yet enough to put everything in your head in order to get out in the world of locksmiths. Nick always answers the phone when your stuck or need any help and I think that’s rare after attending a course. He has been honest about everything from the very moment I picked up the phone and even till now. I used Nick twice in 3 days. Once for an emergency call out and once to replace and improve the security of my locks within my home. He arrived super quick, completed the work efficiently and at a very fair and reasonable price. Should you need it, Dr Lock also offers solid advice on how to increase the security of your home. Dr Lock Training School is probably the best locksmith school in the country. Nick will not only teach you all the skills required to be a locksmith, he will show you how to run a successful locksmith business. Nick filled my head with a lifetime of specialist knowledge inside a week! He supplied me with his famous ‘Scenarios Binder’ and offered telephone support for as long as required! I was initially concerned that I might not be able to go back to school - as re-training at 40 years old is a bit daunting. But Nick's teaching style is all hands-on, both in his workshop and on the road so I enjoyed every minute. But most importantly I have learned a host of new skills at a very reasonable price. Thanks to Nick I have now completely changed career and am working as a full time locksmith. Nick's course provides the hands on training required to learn a complicated and extensive trade. The after support has been brilliant and Nick is always there on the other end of the phone should you need. I can not recommend highly enough. Not only is Nick a great trainer but also a great guy who'll make your course fun and interesting.

There is a lot to go through but Nick is very professional and patient in the workshop and call out situations. I learnt so much in 4 days, can't wait to get the Locksmith side of my business up and running.

Booked the 5 day course with nick after looking at many available. Found that nicks seemed the best value for money as well as being one to one training. I was not disappointed! Was sceptical at first about being able to learn enough in 5 days to be able to start up on your own, but nick proved me very wrong. His way of training in his workshop as well as doing live jobs with him makes a huge difference. When I got home I got started straight away and had my first job 3 days after finishing the course! Could not recommend this course enough. Nick is a great bloke and is also very approachable. His binder and 24 hour help line is in valuble and will be very much help as I continue to create a career as a locksmith. Would recommend this cours to anybody wishing to train as a locksmith. I'd spoken to training providers the length and breadth of the country and as they all sounded the same, I was simply looking for the closest to me. Once I had spoken to Nick though I felt sure his was the course I needed go on. I already had a related trade, so Nick spoke my language and I could appreciate exactly what he meant about the difference between classroom theory and the stuff you actually use day-to-day. If theory is what you want, Nick has plenty of that as well and will spend as much time in the workshop as you want. I went back after the course to go out on a few more jobs before taking the plunge on my own. I've also rang Nick for advice on potentially tricky jobs; no shame in telling the customer you're going to ring your mentor for advice, and Nick is happy to help! I still ring Nick quite regularly, partly for advice but also just for a chat. As Alex says below/above, I also came away from the course with a friend. You cant beat that!

Not only is Nick a great teacher, patient and detailed, the experiance of seeing real situations a locksmith will run into on the road and how they are handled is more valuable than weeks of work in a classroom, and the one on one tuition invaluable. I also came away from this course with a mentor and friend, far more than I expected. You will see the world, and security more so, with new eyes.

1st class service Nick Dr Lock is a great tutor who walks you through live situations step by step tells you what you need to know and stock to keep in the van key machines suppliers and so on I would advise his training course to anyone who is serious about becomeing a Locksmith thanks again Nick.
