About Dowfold House Bed and Breakfast

Jill and Rupert Richardson (not to mention the dog and two cats. ) look forward to welcoming guests to this lovely, comfortable Victorian house with its delightful gardens, which, having won the Bed and Breakfast of the Year, at the North East Tourism Awards 2011, achieved the Bronze Award in the Bed and Breakfast of the Year at the Visit England Awards for Excellence, in May 2012. As a small, high-quality bed and breakfast establishment, DH aim to provide a comfortable, welcoming - and peaceful - home for guests to enjoy; and the breakfasts are GREAT - full of local produce.

Dowfold House Bed and Breakfast is the leading Bed and Breakfast in the North East, and one of the top three in England - it won these Awards in 2011-2012. It is a four-star establishment with a Gold Award for service, and a range of Breakfast Awards. It has also achieved a GOLD rating for eco-friendliness from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
