I needed a specialist part that I had been unable to identify a replacement for and was beginning to think that I would need to replace the entire door. Having provided some photos of the damaged part I received a very prompt response identifying both what I required and where I could source it from. All this despite knowing that they would not make a sale as it was not an item that they stocked. A truly customer focused business.
Ordered on a Sunday, dispatched on Monday by Thursday neither Doorstuff nor their courier knew where the item was. Customer service were next to useless and effectively blamed me for the item not being delivered until I was able to show them text messages which they then claimed were a glitch and misleading! Initially refused to refund the carriage charge. Just appalling customer service - we're not liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery or arising out of any cause beyond our control. Its not about liability or loss I just want to be able to lock the toilet door. Customer service is about solution not excuses or blame.
The most amazing customer service from Ian Butland - immediate replies to e-mails even on Saturday and Sunday. We had a problem with a broken door hanging system - despite it being a system which was out of production, and not supplied by Doorstuff, Ian researched compatible parts and they were delivered the next day.
Ordered TWO sets of sliding door fittings and TWO sets of door handles. Although the package was delivered in reasonable time, the order was incomplete. Only ONE set of each item had been delivered. Naturally, once the shortage had come to light, I emailed the company asking that they send me the outstanding items asap. I have received no reply form the company! 3 further emails - STILL NO REPLY. Whilst I appreciate and am sympathetic to the unusual circumstances in which we find ourselves, I cannot help but feel aggrieved and the recipient of extremely poor service. Should I hear from the company, I'll post further developments here. XXX UPDATE 06/05/2020 XXXWho was it that said "Don't judge a company on the mistakes they make. Rather judge them in HOW they DEAL with their mistakes"?Whoever it was, they would have been pleased with how DOORSTUFF resolved the mistakes they made with my order (see my former post above). Within minutes of posting, I had HELEN from the company, phoning and apologising for the unusual mix up and breakdown in communication. She listened to my complaint, and without so much as a quibble promised to rectify the situation.Today, as good as her word, the missing parts arrived.Thank you Helen - my faith restored!.Moreexpand_more
Ordered a 57inch rail it arrived at 59 inches long and badly cut at a rough angle. I now have to occur the cost of buying a metal saw or finding someone to cut it for me. Friendly staff at the beginning but not helpful when I rang them up about this error and I was polite about it. The admit they can't cut them properly as they don't have the tools which I find odd. Maybe not sell a 57 inch version and make it clear it won't arrive at that size and neatly cut either.
I contacted this company after looking on line for materials for a pocket door without any joy, the gentleman that I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful, I had the items sent to me in the exact time frame that was discussed. I was very impressed by the service, thank you.
I ordered from Doorstuff as I found the information on the website easy to understand. As was ordering for my Father who is 90, rather blind but still has all his marbles! Great information to select the product required by the weight of the door. Product arrived within two working days and all parts were included in the parcel. The only disappointment for me was the fitting instructions included or lack of were all but useless however, even if you have never fitted this runner before its really easy to work out what to do - fitted first time without any problem.
Ordered 4 pocket door kits in 2 separate transactions. Superb technical assistance both prior to ordering and due the installation (which I did myself - I would class myself as a very competent DIYer). The photo attached is of the pocket door installed in a 6" stud partition as this is my preference so I can add insulation between the bedroom and toilet pod, they are more commonly installed in a 4" partition allbiet that it would actually fit in any partition wall from 4" upwards. I would unquestionably buy these again from this company as they are top notch.
Easy to use website. Checked specs of the sliding door wheels I needed. 48hr delivery. Nope. Ordered late one day, delivered next day. Top drills. Will keep in mind when I need to order more.
Very good products arrived promptly. Instruction sheets as usual to small to decipher easily. I will use these again though, good products at the right price.
The two staff that I spoke to were extremely knowledgeable about the product, Sahico folding door gear. Both were helpful and friendly and accommodated me in "lending" a set of standard steel hinges in lieu of the stainless which I wanted and which had already been sold that day! The stainless steel hinges arrived just after Christmas sooner than expected and will be exchanged soon. They tick all the boxes with a can do, can help attitude!
