We closed our shop during the first lockdown but were delivering our pyclets and oatcakes all over Derby and Nottingham. You can still order from our website but also get our pyclets from Darley Abbey Village Store, Our reopened shop, at 12 Sadler gate derby and from Derby and Nottingham Neighbourfood.

Derby Pyclet Parlour is a gourmet food parlour serving up one of Derby's tastiest traditions, situated on Sadler gate Derby, we sell Derbyshire pyclets and oatcakes in packets to take away or you can dine in as we serve the taste of Derby inside with gourmet flavours served hot and cold on our fantastic pyclets and oatcakes.

Pyclets have been made in Derby since 1864 by the Monk family, baked in Darley Abbey and were sold from a barrow less than 100ft from the Pyclet parlour just under the arches of the Guildhall Theatre. The bakery in darley abbey was later converted in to a house which was bought by Mark Hughes who found out the history of the house and with the pyclet recipes he opened the Pyclet Parlour at Unit 1 Derby Market Hall.

Four years later the parlour was bought by Katie Gibson, a customer for over 3years and is now a family managed business run by Katie looking at bringing those traditional treats and adding new flavours and toppings to both bring something new to the Pyclet Parlour and keep the pyclet tradition alive. Our pyclets are steeped in tradition and most of our customers can remember buying them from just outside as a child!

Our full range of pyclets and oatcakes are listed on our website where you can order online and also prebook lunch if you're in a hurry.

We stock plain pyclets or pyclets with chives, thyme or sundries tomato and basil. We have also introduced wholemeal pyclets, chocolate pyclets and sell gluten and dairy free options too. Derbyshire Oatcakes are also sold in our shop and are available online.

If you dine in with us you can try our fabulous toppings such as Smoked Salmon and Horseradish Cream, Stilton Honey and Walnuts, Goats cheese Chorizo and Sweet Red Peppers or try a simple topping like Strawberry Jam, Nutella, Honey, Just British Butter.

We have a breakfast menu available introducing the bacon pyclet, eggs benedict, oatcakes with scrambled egg, yoghurt honey and fruit or our breakfast on a pyclet!
