Debbie Lloyd Make-up Artist

I just had a make up lesson with Debbie which was great. We talked about what make up look I wanted to achieve, I wanted a simple day look and a bit more for an evening look. She explained everything as we went, she did half my face and I copied on the other side step by step. I learnt how to use concealer, bronzer and foundation properly, do smoky eyes, blending the eyeshadow. I booked this lesson as I am 50 this year with a couple of very special occasions and want to look my best, as you age your make up needs to change and Debbie helped me get the best look for my skin. Highly recommend.

I don't wear a lot of makeup and whilst I wanted to look 'made up' for my wedding, I didn't want to appear completely different to normal. Debbie understood this and created a natural look during my trial. She took on board my comments and experimented with a couple of different looks. On the wedding day, she was calm and helped to keep everyone on schedule. I was really pleased with my makeup and the way it lasted for the whole day. I would definitely recommend Debbie as a professional, friendly make-up artist.

Debbie Lloyd did the makeup for myself and bridesmaids. Debbie did an amazing job on the day of the wedding she pulls off the look you want perfectly and is a calming influence on a stressful morning. She was also so helpful in helping me get into my dress. Her professional but friendly manor makes you feel at ease, she was also great with the little bridesmaids ensuring they were included with lip gloss and blusher! I would completely recommend Debbie for your wedding day, you will not be disappointed!

Debbie did a brilliant job of my make up and my mum's make up for my wedding day. We were both so happy with the results and the only touching up I needed to do all day was lippy! Debbie listened to my request and made me look and feel glamerous. My mum and I both received so many complements on the day and I am sure the make up will look great in photos too. Debbie was great in the morning too whilst we were preparing for the big day - very chatty and friendly. I can't thank Debbie enough for the make up she did for me, my mum and 4 bridesmaids for my wedding on 16th May 2014. At the trial Debbie spent a lot of time with all of us making sure we were all entirely happy with our look and made us all feel at ease. On my wedding day we were all so pleased with our make up, it was amazing. It lasted all day for all of us and in the photos stood out. I was worried about choosing a make up artist as I don't wear much make up and have had make up caked on in the past and looked awful! From the first email to Debbie, I was put to rest as even her emails were professional and as I was organising my wedding from Australia, it was important to me to get the communication right. My trial was a success, and I was so pleased with my make up that I didn't want to wash it off straight away. My bridesmaid was a bit more difficult (she was very fussy), but Debbie happily re-did her eye make up a number of times until she was happy. Debbie was fantastic on the wedding day, she helped keep me calm and relaxed and even though we ended up pushed for time, she did not need to rush. She even applied a little make up to the groom to cover a little 'accident' he had had a few days before the wedding! We were all very happy with our make up on the day, including the bridesmaid, best woman and the groom. The make up stayed on all day and night and I didn't even need a touch up! Despite the tears during the speeches. We all had lots of lovely comments and the photos came out great. Debbie's service was wonderful from start to finish. During the trial, Debbie listened carefully to my thoughts, and asked lots of questions about the style of the wedding and all the details so she could get a feel for what I might like. When she had finished my makeup, she sent me off to have a look and told me to come back and tell her what I didn't like (which incidentally was nothing at all! ) - this immediately put me at ease and made me feel that it was ok to change and tweak ideas. As it turned out, I loved what Debbie had done, and felt completely confident that she would be perfect on my wedding day. On the day itself, Debbie kept me calm and did a beautiful job which lasted all day. Not only did she do all this and offer to stay until the last minute in case anything needed to be changed or re-done after any tears, but she also ended up getting me in my dress and did a wonderful job of that too! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Debbie's services, and am already wondering when I can next treat myself to a makeover!

Booked for the 31. 12. 2013. 5 stars does not seem enough to cover the quality of Debbie's work. I was a little worried about meeting Debbie for my trial, but she seemed to understand what I wanted more than I understood it myself, She managed to transfer my ideas into full blown glam, with what appeared to be minimal effort. I instantly booked her for myself and the rest of my bridal party knowing she would take care of each person with the expertise she had shown me. I was not let down, and both my family and myself received multiple compliments on the day. I truly felt a million dollars. If anyone is looking to book Debbie for their wedding or special occasion, I would recommend you do so, not only is she very good at what she does, but she is also a lovely person too, and the whole time the conversation was flowing. Debbie was the make up artist for my wedding day and done the make up for me, my bridesmaid, my mum and my auntie. We was all over the moon with the work Debbie done, everyone looked gorgeous and the make up lasted right until the end of the day. Debbie did my make up for me at my wedding in July 2013. I went for a trial first with absolutely no idea what I wanted. I normally wear very minimal makeup (if any) so this was quite a challenge! Debbie redid my make up on the trial several times until I was happy - she was so patient! On the wedding day Debbie made sure I was comfortable and happy with my make up. Debbie did my makeup for my wedding last August and I was so pleased with the results, she also did my makeup for my 50th birthday party in April this year. I met debbie who was highly recommended by mulberry house where I was to be wed, I was very anxious to having a make up artist as I have mastered over the years of expensive make-up products my own signature of make up applied to suit my face and perfect to my skin tone and bone scructure. I thought no ones going to be able to produce better result or even to my taste. However i booked a trial and Debbie who was an absolute gem with patience of a soul, her magic hands and box of tricks transformed me into a princess I'd never seen before, on my wedding day it all came together beautifully. Debbie even goes beyond her jod description as my family all scarpered to get ready leaving me with an open back dress with hundreds of buttons needing to be done up within 10 minutes, debbie kindly stepped in to relieve me and buttoned up my whole dress. Debbie was highly recommended to me by a friend. I don't normally wear much makeup, but Debbie was very patient and helpful and worked with me until we came up with a look that I loved.
