We Hired Dean McBeath Joinery to hang 8 internal white doors along with some other small jobs needing attention for a new tenant lease. The timeframe for the work that was carried out was achieved. The end result met our expectations and more and we would not hesitate to contact/ pass there details on.

Dean provided a competitive quote to replace two pillars supporting an entrance porch and replace three rotten decorative plywood panels with uPVC, along with a couple of other smaller pieces of work. He kept me informed about arrangements to do the work, and did exactly what we wanted, including doing the work at a weekend to suit our timescale. He and his painter colleague left everything neat and tidy, and appeared to take a pride in their work. Dean required a deposit up front, and sent a receipt following payment of both the deposit and the balance after the work had been invoiced.

Dean made/agreed date to install worktops then less than 24hrs before doing cancelled as 'something else had come up'. Asked him if he could re schedule but failed to respond to request - customer service appears to be severley lacking here and on this experience we would not recommend dean mcbeath! further to dean's response. I have the email asking if the job could be done on friday instead of thursday so its difficult to argue what's in black & white really! With regards to price without seeing, not once did you ask to view the job. Your price was actually more expensive than 2 other quotes received both of which were able to give a price without seeing the job one of which carried out the job. With regards to mhps property services. I am a partner in this company (who have a second to none customer reputation)the job in question you were asked to quote for was for a family member so i see no relevance in your comment? I think you have done yourself no favours with future potential customers showing a poor and unprofessional attitude and a total lack of customer care. Again, not a person/company we would wish to associate with.Moreexpand_more
Response : Yes I may have canceled the job at short notice. As mentioned in the email, something had came up last minuet and I could not re-schedule. ( I was apologetic. )As for my customer feedback I do respond to all of my clients/customers as soon as possible. On this occasion with yourself, I received no emails regarding a re-schedule. But I did have a alert from free index regarding a job in east calder, this was yourself re-listing the job: (I would of been more than happy to give yourself a new date, but no email was received. )I will also like to mention, I gave you a price without measuring or visiting the job. I asked to view the job before giving a price but yourself did not let me. I gave a fair price to the fact I had 2 spare days and you were in urgent need of the worktops to be fitted.Thank you for leaving me negative feedback. All feedback we receive is appreciated. I will keep my eye out for yourself c mac or Colin from mhps property service in the future. As not to provide quotes for jobs you may list.Moreexpand_more
