Dave Knipe Roof Repairs

Dave arrived very promptly and diagnosed the problem with water from my roof leaking through onto my stairwell very quickly. He then did the work that was required very professionally and was concerned to put my mind at rest that the problem was solved. Many thanks.

Dave came out very promptly to assess a problem with damp on a ceiling above a chimney breast. He quickly diagnosed the issue and came back the following day to carry out some repairs to the chimney. It was so reassuring to have an experienced roofer look at the problem. Would highly recommend him. Thank you Dave.

I wanted to have my roof and guttering checked before the winter and asked a neighbour for a recommendation. He gave me Dave's number and I contacted him. He came this morning and cleaned all the gutters and reassured me that my roof was in good condition. I will certainly use him again.

Phoned with roof leak, Dave actually answered phone (not automated) bonus, turned up within half an hour like he said, bonus, identified problem and put forward solution, fixed it when he said he would, bonus. Highly recommended.

Contacted Dave with regards to an issue with my guttering, with in a couple of hours Dave was around and provided me with details of the issue and a way head. Dave carried out the work all problems have now gone. Will be calling on Dave's services if required and fully recommend Dave to anyone needing roofing work.

Phoned Dave yesterday and he managed to fit us in between jobs today to come and check out refitting some slipped slates. As it was only a small job for him, he did it there and then! Fast, efficient, good service all round, would definitely use again.

I phoned Mr Knipe and gave him some indication of the problem e. G. The roofing material on the shed had nearly blown off in the storm. Mr Knipe came out to view the damage, gave us an estimation as to cost and advised us that he could start on Wednesday - the next day. He arrived on time, had all the necessary equipment and got down to work. He was a very tidy worker, cleaned up the area when he finished - could not be faulted in any way - would use again and would recommend him to others.

Dave has just left after fixing a slipped tile on our roof. Called him and he was out later the same day. It was too windy that day but as soon as the wind died down he was here and not only fixed the slipped tile but checked the rest of the roof. Very fair price for the job with quick and efficient service.

At 3. 15pm Sunday 13th October 2013, in desperation I called David Knipe after suffering water cascading into my home for a good few hours. He arrived in just over an hour and resolved the problem, this being a blocked drain that had nowhere to go but in the house. Excellent service will use again.

I had lots of water in my loft last year and called a roofer who charged me 180 for being up there 10 mins. Went to get xmas decs out today and all wet again. Thank goodness Dave was only one to answer phone, he arrived within the hour. Dave pointed out it was condensation and advised me how to resolve this myself, I offered to pay call out and he refused to take a penny. My faith is restored in tradesmen as I would not been any the wiser if I was told I needed new felt or anything else. So I strongly recommend this honest friendly guy should you need to call a roofer.

We have had ongoing problems with our roof over the past few years and have had other roofing contractors carry out repairs which have all failed. I wish we had found Dave Knipe sooner. He has succeeded where others failed and we now have a leak free roof at long last. Dave was courteous and professional throughout leaving the job clean and tidy. His charges were very reasonable (I had expected a much higher bill! ) I highly recommend his services to anyone needing a roofer.

I used Dave Knipe to do much needed work on the firewalls and the chimneys of an older house (rented out). He replace the front and back firewalls, sorted out the chimneys (lead stepped flashing to the front chimney and new front apron and lead chimney tray to the back, chimney pot replaced, cowling and cementing). The price was very reasonable (involved scaffolding), and more importantly what was quoted was what was charged in the final bill. Work was done in a timely manner. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I couldn't be more pleased. Had a leak around a fixed skylight, which was not particularly easy to get to. But Dave did not mess around. He was soon up on the roof and fixed the problem, there and then. Very friendly and efficient and excellent value for money. Cannot recommend too highly.

Found Dave's number via his website, wanted someone local in Portsmouth. We had a leak in the recent heavy rain. Dave came round, popped out of the skylight onto the roof, identified three small issues with blocked gullies and a cracked tile. He went off and came back with a new tile, fitted it all, cleared gullies and tidied up. All very quick and sorted for a fair price. Polite and friendly service, knowledgeable craftsman who knows his trade. Excellent.

We had a terrible leak in our kitchen roof due to a blocked gutter. I called Dave and he was round in 10 minutes and had fixed the problem five minutes later. I will use him again for all future work.

Phoned Dave at 1:30pm today having noticed a leak after all the recent rain. He met me at the house 2:00pm and immediately went up onto the roof through a skylight where he was able to diagnose that the problem was caused by a faulty slate. He cut a new slate and carried out a full repair. 2:30pm problem solved! And for a very reasonable price. It was refreshing to find such a knowledgeable and skillful tradesman. Would certainly use again and highly recommend to anyone.
