About Damp Detectives
Damp Detectives is an independent mould and damp surveying company based in Torquay that covers Devon, Cornwall and Somerset including Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Exeter, Plymouth, Truro and Taunton.
Damp Detectives is independent in that it is not linked to any companies so the surveys that are provided are unbiased.
A Damp Detective Survey can save customers up to thousands of pounds by identifying the source of the mould or damp and showing the customer how to put it right.
The Damp Surveys provided by Damp Detectives cover every possible source and by doing so pinpoint the exact source. The extensive reports are backed by evidence and 20 years of experience.
Damp Detectives is a member of the Property Care Association (PCA).
The business is owned by Robert Horne who has been working with mould and damp for 20 years as a flood restoration technician. He is fully IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) qualified as well as a member of the BDMA (British Damage Management Associaton) and is an Independent Surveyor (CSRT) with the PCA. His methods have been described as an alternative medicine by his customers and has an almost 100% record of finding the source of mould and damp.
Damp Detectives is now so successful that there are 9 surveyors in the Company. We now cover from Lands End to London and from London up to Scotland. The reason for Damp Detective's success is that they use a variety of scientific instruments to tract moisture to its source. Several housing associations and insurance companies have great success by calling Damp Detectives to solve damp, mould and condensation problems that the housing association just couldn't fathom out. This has resulted in savings of thousands of pounds on building work.
Robert Horne has now appeared as an independent witness in the Magistrates courts helping to solve disputes which involve damp, mould, condensation and allergies. He has even been an expert witness on the Judge Rinder show which is being broadcast on the 22nd October 2018 at 2pm. You should watch it.
