In reality only around 4 types of grass are chosen by our customers, one because it is our cheapest artificial grass and the others are chosen down to how realistic they look, softness and value for money.
A COMMON ARTIFICIAL GRASS MISCONCEPTION.
Many of our Ayrshire customers tell us how they can buy cheap 40mm artificial grass but on closer inspection these grasses often have very sparse blade density so the long blades tend to sit flat and are in reality thinner than a good quality 25mm synthetic grass.
A good quality grass consists of various factors e.G. Density, various coloured realistic blades, yarn type, stitch rate, stitch density, backing quality, blade quality NOT just pile height or thickness.

Not only do we supply quality astroturf we also supply and fit it too.
Astroturf or artificial grass can be fitted by customers on a DIY basis over existing natural lawns, timber decking and concrete slabs.
However some customers prefer to leave the job to our professional team of fitters where you are guaranteed to get a high quality installation each and every time.
Fitting grass over concrete and decking is a far easier job than installing over an existing lawn or soil. If fitting over concrete or decking a suitable underlay with ample drainage is required.
Fitting artificial grass over earth or where a real lawn has been requires a lot of manual labour and preparation.
In summary the ground needs to be dug out to a depth of around 100 mm, weed treated, concrete edges, weed membrane fitted, type 1 spread and compacted, sharp sand spread and compacted, another weed membrane fitted, grass laid and then properly secured.
