Michael transferred an old unique recording on a 78rpm record to CD and mp3 for us. The result was far better than we anticipated given that it was recorded in 1949. We found Michael to be very approachable and professional and honest with his opinions as to what he might be able to achieve for us. He was also prompt with his communication.
Michael digitised some 78RPM gramophones for me previously and did a good job. I came back to him recently, to get a C90 cassette digitised. He is always efficient and with a eye for precision. He plans out the work and gives you an accurate quote for how much it will cost. He is very good value for money. He is also approachable and knowledgeable about the recording industry.
Michael was friendly and helpful. I had a C90 cassette tape and two acetate records produced in the 1950’s that I wanted digitising. Within a week I had all the tracks on CD’s and a link to download all the tracks onto my PC - which worked perfectly. Have no hesitation recommending.
I would highly recommend using Michael Cruise. He is very knowledgeable about sound recordings and likes to get into details about the work. My job was the digitisation of gramophone records (78s) and a couple of LPs. I had never seen a 78 before. He digitised one for free, to check that I would be happy with the service. This gave me confidence that he was an honest man, who I could trust. He then quoted me a price for the full job and I went ahead. He was very efficient and kept me informed throughout. He is also friendly and talkative.
I had a very old tape with songs sang and recorded by my daughter (recently diseased) at home - the quality was far from satisfactory, so the record needed a skilful mastering of sound and re-recording to wav format. I am very pleased with the results and appreciate the afford which Michael Cruise had to apply while working on the sound mastering. Another job asked to do was transferring an old video to DVD and that was dome promptly and with good quality too. Many thanks.
I enquired about having some records that were sent between my grandparents during WW2 converted to an mp3. Being so old, they were in a state of disrepair and I wasn't sure if any they would be salvageable to convert at all. Michael managed to convert some clips from each disc, which I could then send to my dad so he could hear his dad's voice again after many years. Amazing service and value; very happy with the results and Michael was lovely and genuine to talk to, knowledgeable and very prompt in getting back to enquiries and with the work.
Transfer of much loved vinyl with rare tracks, to cd. Wish I'd done this sooner- excellent quality, thoughtfully done- think that Michael enhanced the sound slightly (not sure of technical details). Also received file to download which increases listening options, and a copy of the album cover. Work was carried out quickly - I had CD 2days later. Would definitely use this service again. .
I found Crystalsound Mastering on the internet having found a 60 year old cassette of my grandparents' Golding Wedding celebrations. I was sure I had lost this and over the years thought quite often about it. I telephoned the company and arranged to see Michael Cruise who said he could make a CD from the old cassette. Within two days I collected the CD and he also sent me an MP3. I cannot stress how professional the company is and how satisfied I am with the service I received. I would recommend this company to anyone in the same position as I was.
Three vinyl LPs have been transposed onto CD's. The LPS are now unavailable and therefore very precious to the owner. The CDs that were produced by Crystalsound Mastering were of a very high standard, which sounded 'cleaner' and sharper that the original- Brilliant. Michael took only two to three days to carry out the work and was always helpful and interested in the project.
We only wanted an old single transferred to CD but obviously no job is too small and I never felt I was wasting Michael's time. The price was surprisingly cheap and the job was completed in less than 24 hours. Great friendly, personal service. I would definitely recommend Crystalsound to a friend.
