About Crofton Shotokan School of Karate

Originally founded in 1976 by Alan Lewis 5th Dan, the Crofton Shotokan School of Karate in Stubbington, Fareham, provides karate lessons for children and Adults.
Our aim is to provide quality instruction promote health and fitness and give kids the perfect opportunity to get away from the television and computer games, learn a new activity, keep fit and have fun!
With karate lessons for children from the age of 6 years, and the opportunity for them to attend courses and achieve grading through the SHOTOKAN OF ENGLAND KARATE UNION. (SEKU) its a great way to stay active and make friends.
Sensei Alan Lewis started his Karate training in 1969 with the Karate Union of Great Britain. Alan has trained and been graded by some of the Worlds senior and most respected instructors, including Sensei Enoeda, Kato, Takahashi, Shiro Asano. Graded to 5th Dan by Sensei Mick Dewey 8th Dan, Chief Instructor to the Shotokan of England Karate Union.
Alan is also a qualified National and International referee and has travelled to many European events.
Having been with the Karate Union of Great Britain and Shotokan Karate International for a number of years Alan joined the Shotokan of England in 1982 and is very proud to be part of a fantastic and successful organisation.
SEKU runs regular courses and gradings for all licenced members. We would like to encourage all members to take advantage of to these courses. They are there for the benefit of all.0 FreeIndex Reviews
