My art courses, drawing classes, and creative art classes are inspirational, wonderfully challenging, and definitely rewarding. You will find me in Manchester within easy access of the city centre.

I teach because I am passionate about teaching and supporting new and developing artists. I started Creative Art Courses in 2011 as I believe I have a unique blend of artistic experience and quality teaching expertise to offer.

I have been teaching adults for over 15 years. I began ‘Creative Art Courses’ in 2011 after teaching community-based workshops across the North West, and adult classes for Oldham Lifelong Learning, Salford and Bury Adult Education, and Blackburn College since 1997.

Experience.
I studied art at the Cape Technikon School of Art in cape Town, South Africa where I grew up. In 1986 I qualified with an HND in textile design and a second HND in Fine Art specialising in Drawing and Painting. I spent 10 years designing textiles and wallcoverings in the UK before starting to teach and work with communities across Greater Manchester. Most recently I acquired my QTLS enabling me to teach art within Secondary Schools which I have done part-time alongside my Creative Art Courses.

Qualifications.
I completed my Certificate in education in 2005 and in 2007 I was successful in achieving an MA in Public Art with a distinction.

Teaching methods.
I teache in a very informal way with lots of 1:1 tuition that includes demonstrations, practical help and guidance. My step by step approach ensures no-one feels left behind. The atmosphere is relaxed and students progress at their own pace and are encouraged to develop in a personal direction.
