Multiple walls and ceiling plaster. AVOID. If you want to save your money and a lot of stress, then look elsewhere. Works carried out included large kitchen diner reboard and skim, skim 3 walls in kitchen, 1 wall in hall, and 2 ceilings in hall/landing. We received a competitive quote from Craig, friendly during the works etc, and works looked good upon completion, unfortunately we’re now left with needing to replaster the kitchen ceiling and many of the walls. The professionals who have quoted to fix the work suspect a poor mix, or old plaster. After contacting Craig to inform him of the issues, three different dates were arranged to come and fact find/fix, the first two he cancelled relatively last minute, the third date which he promised “I have nothing on for Monday, I will come and sort it”, did not show up, ignored every message and phone call, every voicemail, so really has let us down. Upon closer inspection of the cracks in the boarded and skimmed ceiling, every crack has appeared along the tape lines. At least two of the cracks are resulting from easily moveable boards. The wall cracks have appeared mostly around the switches and sockets, and have spread in some cases to in excess of a meter in all directions. One of the back boxes has been poorly finished, requiring filling around the top too. We gave Craig multiple chances to come back and sort, waited and waited, called and called, and he basically doesn’t want to know, hence the accurate and honest review. Sorry. But avoid folks.Moreexpand_more
Response : Not what happened is it really. Tell all the good folks how the heating was on high and continuously and we’re told this would happen if you didn’t turn it off. I accept no responsibility whatsoever for anything that happened after I left the job because all through the job my advice was ignored. You only need to look at all my other reviews to see this is not how I work and it’s purely the customer trying to pass the blame. Do not have the heating on when plastering as this is what happens. You didn’t listen so you get what you deserve I’m afraid. Good day sir!.
