The roof glazing in the hallway right in the middle of my house was old and shabby and only single glazed. The surrounding leadwork had failed and was allowing water to pour through into the house whenever it rained. Keith and his team replaced all this with a made to measure set of double glazed panels and a weather-proof glass-fibre trough to collect and channel away Argyll’s inevitable rain water. We just needed a weather window of 3 dry days to do the work and on the first occasion the forecast promised this after getting all the materials together, Keith phoned me on the Sunday evening and said they would be able to start the next day. (We had been waiting for a suitable weather window for a few months which was obviously not Keith’s fault and full marks to him for getting in touch and being ready to get going at what really was the first possible opportunity. ). Keith and his team did a fantastic job. They were all cheerful, efficient and tidy and kept me well informed about how they were progressing and whether they were encountering unexpected problems - happily there were very few. The work was completed in 3 days as expected in April 2016. Now we are into the second winter since the job was done. The house is much easier to keep warm thanks to the double-glazing and the proper weather-proof seal and there have been no more puddles of rainwater on the floor. I would have no hesitation in recommending Keith and his team to anyone needing to have a similar job done. Several other builders had dodged taking this job on as it was difficult to know what state the hidden roof timbers might be in. I had my entire bungalow installed with laminate flooring. The team did a magnificent job and moved furniture around as we have very limited floor space. They were quick, efficient and very friendly. Great work and would definitely use again.

The work was wide-ranging, including fitting a new kitchen, new windows, soffits and fascias, conservatory, and a patio and small wall at the front of the house. Everything was done in a thorough way, and with a thought to the practical use of the house. The patio was done with an artistic eye and great attention to detail.

I have used Cowan and MacBrayne for necessary repair work following two floods to my elderly aunt's home. The work was done efficiently and well and the company was extremely helpful attending to additional work that had to be done and keeping me informed. I would have no hesitation in using this firm again and recommending them to anyone who had need of such a service.

Cowan and MacBrayne have just completed work on replacing the kitchen wall and installing new sinks, units and work tops in the kitchen of Achnamara village hall. Have used Cowan and MacBrayne a few times over the past few years, for varying sized jobs and building works. Always reliable, always good finish, workmen are friendly. Would definitely recommend them, brilliant quality and service.

Cowan and MacBrayne replaced my guttering and down pipes. When he came to give me a quote Keith discussed the work in detail putting me at ease that the work would be done properly, despite the fact I was not around to supervise the work. Once I had accepted the quote it was full speed ahead. The work was done in a fortnight and the new gutters look excellent and do the job properly. Very very pleased with both the service and the quality of the work.

Cowan and macbrayne have move two entrances to our house. That ment cutting new holes for the doors and installing new doors. The work was clean and tidy and done quickly. The doors are well fitting and excactly what we wanted. The jobs also involed a plumber which they arranged (taking that stress of me) and building new steps to back entrance which we have had no problems with at all.

Been using 20 years. Built our new house 2006. Exceptional workmanship, met deadline, and very pleasant to work with. Also done many small previous prior to new build and never had any complaints.

We were fortunate to have a recommendation to use this firm four years ago, since when we have had further work done on two occasions. On one occasion we suffered considerable water damage due to the extreme weather last winter. The work was expertly assessed and completed and a stressful situation made bearable. Keith and Robert build our house 17 years ago. And it's still standing! Very pleased with the service. They always turn up when they say they will or at least let you know if for some reason they can't come. Used them again last year for new kitchen/dining room/utility room/toilet alterations and again couldn't fault them.

This will be my third time I have used this company, I find them honest and trustworthy, they replaced all my interior and exterior doors, floored my living room and kitchen and I am having my bathroom changed. Defo use again.
