Morning Sunday 24 Nov my MacBook's screen won't light up (no prior hint of any problem, and I've been using the MacBook since I bought it new in 2016, always reliable so it's a real shock that it's suddenly gone down on me). After checking reviews online, I call Steve who helps me (initially over the phone for 30+ mins) work out a fix with substitute screen (my TV) so I can save work in progress and shut down laptop. He then takes custody of the machine to run checks there and then (by now it's lunchtime - on a SUNDAY) to see what's saveable. He diagnoses non-economic repair and goes online - there and then - to check for possible replacement reconditioned MacBooks (he also advises a Windows machine will be cheaper but I insist on a MacBook). He doesn't push me to buy through him, just tells me his terms (if I do, he'll arrange full reinstatement of apps and data; otherwise, I pay him £30 for his help to date, no strings attached). 2 days on, I reckon he's offering a fair price for a 1TB substitute MacBook so I buy through him. It's not straightforward to reinstate (Steve also has to order a 'gate' to access the old laptop's memory drive) and I make do with a spare Windows machine meantime but within 1 week he's done all that's needed for full reinstatement. Throughout he is super responsive and helpful (and available 0800h-2000h - yes, a self-confessed workaholic). Wow! Thanks Steve I called Steve in a panic as my files had disappeared. Within a few minutes he established remote control of my computer and had solved the problem. No charge! Friendly and immensely helpful. I had earlier phoned another PC repair guy who said he could get out to see me in 5 days time! What a difference! I'll definitely be be going back to Steve next time we need anything.
First time of contact with Steve, after spending many hours trying to figure out how to restore sound output from my PC, and he knew what the problem was almost immediately. Working remotely, he did all the necessary work on my machine while keeping me informed of what was happening. One hour later, all sound was restored. Many thanks, Steve.
Steve correctly diagnosed the issue in two minutes over the phone, before he even saw the machine. He then checked it out in person and offered an affordable solution, which I accepted, and he provided the repaired machine the next day. Replacement SSD, clean and service, new Windows 10 Pro installation with Microsoft Office 2016 and several other utilities (Malware Bytes Trial eg) all for £100. Now running like a Rolls Royce (after updates had been downloaded, and security scans and indexing had completed). Very grateful indeed.

I needed my computer all in one repaired as it hadn't worked for six months. I also needed a new battery in my laptop as I was using it as a computer on the mains constantly. Steve not only carried out the repairs efficiently and quickly, he also talked me through re installing an app I had been worried that I would lose. He saved me pounds in money and relieved my anxiety about letting my laptop be repaired. He was calm and supportive, taking time to discuss my needs before, during and after the work. I bought my Dell laptop from Cornwall Laptop and Computer Repairs more than a year ago now and couldn't be more pleased. So helpful - I trusted this company to give me excellent service and haven't been disappointed. Full marks to them for providing the personal touch that none of the big corporations can be bothered to offer!
Had to replace an old laptop and Steve offered a great little Dell with Windows 10 and loads of useful stuff, completely seamless service with perfect social distancing. Had a problem with internet access (not the fault of the computer) and Steve was able to help out through a remote connection and had me connected in a matter minutes. I have purchased two laptops from CLACR now. Both times excellent service was provided and Steven could not have been more helpful. A work ethic and overall ethos that is sadly lacking in many larger companies at the moment. It is good to see someone who really cares about their chosen career and the customers who put that trust in him. A1 customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CLACR.
I found Steve on FB. I wanted to upgrade my PC but was told by a local Computer specialist that it couldn't be done. I asked Steve and he suggested various options and my PC has a new lease of life. I highly recommend Steves work and cost. I will definitely use his services again.
I've contacted Steve on numerous accounts regarding my computers, and he was absolutely fantastic. He responded straight away, and gave me advice. When I had problems with my laptop for university, he phoned me straight and guided me through what I had to do and its working perfectly. Also I had trouble with my gaming computer, in which, Steve came up straightaway and fixed it right up again. Now it's working like it's brand new! I couldn't recommend Steve enough. He's so good at what he does and its all reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!
