Cooldrive Automotive Air Conditioning

Just had Stuart our to look at our Peugeot 2008, took it to Halfords who said they couldn’t do anything with it. Read the reviews on here and called Stuart out who came out within a couple of days and sorted it out straight away for a very reasonable charge, very professional and friendly, obviously knows his stuff, would highly recommend.

The air con on my Kia Ceed had started to blow warm air, thought it just needed regassing but Kwik Fit advised there was leak in the system which would need to be investigated by a garage. Rang Stuart after reading the excellent reviews he received and was not disappointed. He carried out his checks and discovered a leak in the condenser, taking the time to show me where the problem was. He provided me with n excellent quote that afternoon and advised me that if he could get the condenser delivered at a reasonable time the following day he wold pop over late afternoon to fit it for me as he was going on the holiday the following week. I didnt hold out much hope but he called me at 4. 30pm to say he had just received the condenser and was on his way. On top of this, it was the hottest day on record 38 degrees. Stuart was professional and friendly and carried out the work with minimum fuss I cannot recommend him highly enough. Brilliant.

Stuart fixed air condition on my Nissan qashqai changed a condenser for me unfortunately it worked for two weeks contacted Stuart he came round and found the dryer leaking this time he changed it for me after ordering the part. I do recommend him he knows what he is doing.

I found Stuart and Cooldrive via a Google search and booked him based on the reviews, all of which are totally accurate. Stuart is well organised, knowledgeable, experienced, presentable, courteous, prompt, reasonably priced, and did a first-class job of testing and re-gassing a 2009 Mini. He explained the tests he was carrying out and what can go wrong with the systems over time. His van and equipment were all spotless. Certainly I felt more reassured that I had an honest expert working on the car than I would have done had I taken the car to a 'chain' or a dealership.

Absolutely brilliant service. The guy arrived on time at 9am and fitted me in on a Saturday, my car was making a strange whirring sound when the air conditioning was switched on and wasn't blowing out cold air. Because It was whirring I presumed something was broken and needed more than just re gassing. When the guy arrived he diagnosed that it only needed re gassing straight away and that would also fix the whirring. He got straight to work on the car and was done in no time. The re gassing worked and fixed all the faults but he still checked all the other components just in case!

I just needed mine recharged and tested, as its not been touched in 5 years - otherwise it was working fine. As I suspected, it just needed a top up, but Stuart did the full job - evacuate, full test and recharge. I would much rather pay a bit more and have it done by someone who knows what they are doing and Stuart was certainly thorough. Had there been any problems, he arrived with most all he might need to fix it. I'm now recommending him to a car owner's group I belong to, to try to arrange a group service. I'm writing this review about 6 months after Stuart replaced the a/c radiator and associated parts on my Volvo V50 (and also regassed our A Class Mercedes) - the work on the Volvo required the front end of the car to be removed. I was really pleased with Stuart's approach at the time of contacting him (at which point he offered clear technical advice and options) and the resulting work - on top of that after 6 months the a/c on both cars is working perfectly - definitely recommended.

Stuart came to Yeadon to service the AirCon on my 2007 C4 Grand Picasso. It had never worked since I bought the car so I was expecting there to be mechanical problems to deal with. But after a really thorough check under pressure and vacuum the system seemed to be OK. So the system was cleaned and reggassed. You can tell that Stuart is passionate about his work, all the tool shelves in his van are immaculately set out and the kit seems to a layman to be in top order. It's been a few weeks since then and it's still working really well. In fact it's a heatwave at the moment and setting the system on it's lowest setting of 14 degrees become unbearable cold! I paid £60 where I might have only paid £40 at a brick and mortar place, but it was worth it. Stuart identified and explained some mechanical faults with pipe rubbing in the engine compartment, then went out of his way to provide a serviceable short term fix until the car has it's next service. Cooldrive came out to re-charge the air conditioning on my car. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining what was happening each step of the way. It was a reasonable cost as well considering it was a mobile service. He is also able to do leak testing using a variety of methods and can do maintenance on any faults found. Would highly recommend using Cooldrive if your air-conditioning requires attention.

I used Stuart having bought a vehicle when the air con did not work. After the recharge it began not to work again and Stuart quickly diagnosed, but vehicle had to go to main dealer as I thought it would be covered under warranty, but wasn't. Stuart has been far more efficient and helpful than the main dealer and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Very good overall service to fix my Megane's aircon. Needed expensive part to complete repair but engineer knew what he was doing and persevered to get it working. Still working after a quite a few weeks, definitely use him again for this and my other car.

Air conditioning system on Nissan car stopped working. Had a prompt reply from Stuart who gave it a thorough examination on our drive to find a minute leak on the condenser after about half an hour. The new part was fitted efficiently 3 days later at only just over half the cost of the main dealer with no hassle of taking the car anywhere and leaving it.

A professional repair by a courteous and prompt well trained engineer, the air con is now working great,.
