Console Wizard

Today 14th August 2024. I had called Console Wizard on Wednesday about replacing a HDMI port on my sons X Box S series which had been damaged by a drop. I attended the shop to be met by Mark a very polite friendly guy. He took the X Box S series straight to the repair bench and 15 mins later Mark had it sorted out. Very good price. I'd recommend Console wizard to everyone. Thank you Mark of Console Wizard .

Excellent service. 24 hour turnaround on a PS5 broken fan connector. Very welcoming in shop and described everything done on the repair. Very happy, highly recommended.

A big thank you to the staff who went the extra mile and breathed new life into my Xbox 360 (from a galaxy far, far away! ). They kindly agreed to take receipt of the console shortly after they opened up and and I was able to collect the console about an hour later. Awesome! Thank you again. Highly recommended.

I walked into the shop and was nicely greeted by a politely spoken tall man called mark. I had rang in advance and traveled from my Home of Blackburn (45-60 minutes) because of the reviews. Marks colleague already knew about the console and he explained what I had told him over the phone. Mark and his colleague (I think Martin) went above and beyond for my repair originally informing me I'd have to leave the Ps5 with them but while I was talking to mark and martin about the fault and the situation regarding it. Mark had opened and started fault finding and fixing the fault while I was there and got a beep which it wasn't doing befpre and said if I'd like I can wait. While I was waiting we had a conversion and chat about general things including old consoles the friendly atmosphere made me feel like I was apart of the team even though it sounds funny. If the knowledge is not know by these gentleman it's not worth knowing. While waiting mark got it from no power to a power and start and showing up and fully working on the test set up. I thought amazing how they have so great of knowledge and experience to diagnose a issue most shops said they would need a 7-14days to diagnose never mind repair. And all that within 1-3 hours. But another fault occurred with the disk drive not taking in a game. Overall mark repaired the device the same day and I was able to collect the next day. I highly recommended the console Wizard team. Left me feeling like I happy and warmth with the service I had received. (compared to other shops iv been to for repairs). Ps4 pro when started went to checking storage but stopped at 24%. Took ps into shop (because lucky for me they are local) and the very helpful man said I will check the drive now, he came back and said I need a new hard drive. Gave a price which was happy with and said he could do it now if I wanted, due to time and another appointment I said I would come back for it tomorrow. Next day they texted to say it was ready to collect. New hard drive a service and latest software update is now like a new machine. Very quick very professional would definately recommend.

I brought my xbox360 in to Console Wizard for repair on Monday afternoon and it was ready for collection by the Wednesday morning. My console now works like a brand new machine. Excellent, quality service and value for money. Highly recommended.

Five star service, five star staff, five star repairs! If there was a ten star I’d give it ten. My iPad was repaired in super fast time after Apple had told me it was obsolete! Really super company, nothing too much trouble, trustworthy and caring. Great customer service. Apple could learn a lot from this company.

New screen fitted for HP Elitebook laptop. Several more repairs in the past for this and other laptops. Have always received a friendly, excellent service at a very fair price. Could not recommend more strongly.

Brilliant service - we selected the courier service to get the PS5 HDMI port replaced after it got knocked off the shelf damaging it. Way cheaper than Sony and it was back really swiftly. Friendly chat before ordering reassured me they were good to their word. Excellent and highly recommended based on my experience.

Took my Nintendo Switch into Console Wizard with a battery fault. I couldn't be happier with the service and repair! It took the team no time at all to diagnose and repair for me (board had blown and damaged the battery). Kept me up to date throughout and my Switch was good as new within 2days. Console Wizard replaced a damaged HDMI port on an Xbox Series S for me. Were wonderful to deal with by email and phone, and the Xbox was fixed and sent back to me in really quick time, literally 2-3 days. Would highly recommend.

Wanted a general PS3 inspection, as it turns out the console I purchased from ebay was in a total state of disrepair. ConsoleWizard went above and beyond to source high quality new parts and rebuilt my PS3 from the inside out all at a very reasonable price. Console Wizard revived a launch PS3 for me that had YLOD. Absolutely delighted with their service; a courier collected on Monday and I had the console back in full working order the following Monday. All arranged online with no fuss and at a great price.

Took in a PS4 that had a communication problem a few days before Christmas. It's young owner in a panic that he would not have it for Christmas when new games were on the present list. Repaired by Michael very quickly and Christmas saved! Excellent, friendly service at a very acceptable price. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic service by the 2 wonderful gentleman's. I cannot fault the service in any way shape or form. Got there for 10:30am 8/12/2020 and I was walking out of the shop 1hr later with my xbox one x fully working again. It suffered a retimer chip pop. From my experience just go to these guys and all your gaming delights will be back to before you know it. Thank you once again console wizards I'll see you in January for that 1tb ssd upgrade. Just thought I point out that reballing is a complete waste of time. Most solder used by these multibillion dollar companies is most going to be of really high quality and for example with the PS3 it's the Nec Tokin capacitors that are failing not the solder joints which is why heatguns tend to get it working temporarily due to the heat going into the capacitors giving it a temporary charge. A heatgun, oven or a hairdryed is certainly not capable of melting the solder only a BGA Station is capable. More info is here, you can also Google these if you don't trust the links. Be aware that replacing the capacitors does require advance soldering skills. But make sure to replace them with the more reliable 470uf Tantalum capacitors on the Phat and 330uf on the Slim. The main cause of the Red Ring of Death on the Xbox 360 is failing GPU Chips which can be replaced. Delidding is also useful as it is very difficult to do without the right tools and it can make a big difference in cooling aswell upgrading the fan. Brilliant stuff. After just over a year, my Nephews XBox One X console hard drive packed in. Got a new SSD drive fitted, and I now have one very happy Nephew, especially with the quicker load times. New Power supply fitted by Mark and his Team. Despite Covid-19 delivery hitches Mark kept me fully informed at every step. His communication skills are excellent with a very friendly and open attitude. A great guy heading a competent team which I would use again and again. Would advise anyone to put Console Wizard to the top of their list of specialists who "do what they say" with a great attitude and a smile.
