Inspired by Yorkshire's Viking heritage and a belief that coffee deserves the same respect as fine spirits, NORSE CODE was created to bridge the gap between specialty coffee and traditional liqueurs. Co-founders Yan and Gordon Howell spent more than two years refining recipes in small 40-litre batches, making countless adjustments to ingredients, extraction methods and balance. Drawing on decades of coffee expertise, the aim was simple: create a coffee liqueur that showcases real coffee flavour first, rather than masking it with excessive sweetness.
