We joined the Rotherham academy about 6 months ago. The instructors are are brilliant and really supportive. They have helped us so much. Chuldow is very family orientated and a comfortable place to be. Even the guys at the top Mr and Mrs Hauer take a moment to speak and make you feel welcome. Everyone I have came in to contact with instructors and students are really nice.
The quality of teaching and terminology that comes from Chuldow is exceptional. My own personal experience (Knottingley Dojo) was great fun, always exciting to be there. With instructors that know what their on about with the knowledge and experience to back it up. Cant fault them one bit !
I started Karate in June 2017 to give me a focus in life, help with my confidence and self esteem and I couldn't be more happy, when I first started I did struggle with remembering the moves but with the help of Mr&Mrs Lazenby I feel like I've overcome so much in just under 2 months, they taught me it in a way which I could understand more easily and so understanding about my health issues in which I am truly grateful for all the help and support I've received! I did my first grading on Sunday 30th July 2017 and after a bit of a wobble I got through it and gained my first belt which was a solid red belt which I am truly proud for achieving! I'm also trialling Kickboxing and really enjoying doing both Karate and kickboxing, I'm learning so much between the both of them and really enjoying my time on the mats! So thank you so much for teaching me how to overcome my struggles and helping me on a road to become a better more confident me! Chuldow Martial arts wether it is Karate or Kickboxing in which you want to try is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!
I had no interest in martial arts and only went along with my partner to his second free session because he said I should try it… we joined that night but I had no intention of grading or becoming 'too involved'. Anyway, here I am, writing this review as a brown white belt - to encourage anyone who is wondering why they should join Chuldow Martial Arts Academy. It's great exercise, confident building, teaches you how to defend yourself, a fun yet disciplined atmosphere, you meet friendly people who encourage you every step of the way (owners, teachers and students alike), there are social gatherings and those all important gradings where you come out feeling accomplished. Chuldow Martial Arts Academy is exceptional and well established - the owners work hard to ensure everyone is welcomed, nurtured and celebrated to become the very best they can whatever their limitations.
I don't have the words to describe how amazing this place is. My 6 year old daughter and I attend. It has given her the confidence she never used to have in herself and to stand up to bullies. For myself I have lost almost a stone and have achieved things I never thought were possible. We have both made life long friends here. Thank you Mr and Mrs Hauer and all your wonderful staff.
I've been training for 11 months now. In January 2016 I was extremly unhealthy and lacked in confidence. With the continued support of my instructors Mr and Mrs Glover. There Son (young) Mr Glover and my loyal friends at chuldow south kirkby I overcome so many demons. I destroyed depression. Said goodbye to laziness. And managed to loose 3st. I also met a new network of people I call family. Honestly the support I have received from everyone has been unlimited. My 2 sons who live with autism have benefitted from the karate classes. They've learned self awarness. Discipline and self control. And the top bloke who owns this is literally a top bloke. Mr Hauer is so approachable friendly and helpfull and he never bypasses any student. He will talk to anybody and give them his full attention. And the same must be said for Mrs Hauer too. To summarise. If you want to be a part of something bigger than you can imagine. Battle your demons. Condition your body to warrior standard. Train at a pace you are comfortable with. Receive encouragement and praise from your instructors and peers. Or join a massive group of people you will look upon as family. Then this is the place to train.Moreexpand_more
I have just started traiing at Chuldow Martial Arts but so far I can say they are simply exceptional, The staff are really helpful and instructive, the atmosphere is great because everybody gets on with each other and helps each other out and on the whole I would recommend anybody to go there to train.
I got an email from FreeIndex to review the academy - usually I ignore however felt I couldn't over look this studio. I owe a lot of my martial arts career but also my professional career to Chuldow. Yes I worked hard academically however the life lessons I learnt whilst growing up in the community was priceless. I can only personally recommend the owners (AH and SH) however I 100% recommend that you send your children to this studio to learn martial arts but also life skills.
I started taking my 5 year old son 2 months ago now and he not only loves it and looks forward to every session, It has helped greatly in his concentration and determination at school. Its also great for pushing him out of his comfort zone I can't even begin to describe my pride seeing my son compete at the championships Chuldow organised he was nervous before hand but then couldn't stop smiling! Highly recommended I myself am considering going to the adult classed in the new year.
