Chilvers Pet Foods was setup out of a belief that pets need wholesome food to ensure they thrive. Too many cheaper foods contain added cereal fillers and many of the premium range feeds can are expensive.

Food must start with good and wholesome ingredients. What goes into a pet food goes into your pet and because of that spent a great deal of time researching and sourcing quality ingredients. Free Range chicken from Shropshire and East Anglia, loch reared Scottish salmon, grass fed Welsh and English lamb, hand netted Wiltshire trout, estate reared venison, Suffolk duck and of course Aberdeen angus beef; all human food grade ingredients.

In addition to this we have partnered with Europe’s leading pet food manufacturer, their vets and their nutritionists to produce our new range of premium pet foods without the usual premium price tag. We’re in good company too as Wafcol, Barking Heads and Burns to name but three producers also use the same facilities and expertise.

So we’re very proud to introduce our new Grain Free, Naturally Preserved and Super Premium pet foods for our canine and feline friends.

All of our foods are highly digestible and the entire range is Hypoallergenic – again beneficial to all pets.

Our foods are manufactured in the UK from UK sourced ingredients so we feel we can safely say our pet food really is the Best of British.

Whilst we fully believe in the quality of ingredients that go into our pet food we also understand that many pet owners are currently on tight budgets and as such we have ensured a varied price structure across the three quality ranges. Where we use ‘meal’ as part-replacement for our meat content we (unlike many manufacturers of pet food) ensure that it is from a named species and produced from the same basic quality ingredient; this allows us to ensure quality is anchored at the heart of our full range irrespective of price.
