A damaged bible of sentimental value only was beautifully restored, with the covers replaced, including new gold lettering. I suspect more work was done than had been envisaged at the time the quote was provided but I was not asked to pay more. I fully recommend Chester Bookbinders for the quality of their work and for the service provided.

Took our family bible that dates back to the 1800s into Chester Book binders for restoration. It was in a fairly shabby state having not been that well looked after over the years. The transformation was amazing, it was sympathetically restored to a condition reflective of its age. I could not rate them highly enough, very high quality work done at a fair price.

The family Bible had been passed down through several generations of people and when it landed with me it was in very poor condition. Feeling sorry for it I sent it to Chester Bookbinders for restoration. After being fitted with a new spine, repairs to the brass clasps and general cleaning and preserving treatment to the Bible it now looks rejuvenated. A job well done.
