I booked Iron Broo for my 60th birthday celebration and have only great things to say. They were very professional and, importantly, very engaging with excellent skill in calling the dances; and getting everyone involved. If you’re looking for a ceilidh band, you can’t go wrong with this group.

Iron Broo recently played at our wedding with a combined ceilidh and disco. Charlie was easy to deal with and responded quickly to all emails and questions. Both the ceilidh and the disco were very well received on the night with all guests enjoying it very much.

Iron Broo played at our charity ceilidh in February 2024 with 2 piece band. It was a fantastic event - the dance floor was full from start to finish and we’d highly recommend them for any occasion. We got great feedback from the guests - great fun and few twists on the traditional Scottish ceilidh dances and a crammed floor for the classics. Many thanks!

From the moment we started to plan our wedding, we knew we wanted Iron Broo! With my wife having attended a few of their ceilidhs in the past, she told me that Iron Broo were the best ceilidh band she'd ever seen. Of course at first, with our wedding being my first ceilidh, I was a little bit nervous but I trusted her with this and I can say I am truly glad that I did. We couldn't have asked for anything more, the music and dancing was incredible (as per usual). Many of our guests had also never attended a ceilidh before, but they made the process of learning all the steps easy and everyone ended up having an amazing time (myself included. ) They were also extremely accommodating, able to play a requested song for our first dance with less than a weeks notice! Thank you so much Iron Broo! It was a pleasure to have you at our wedding and we will be sure to catch you at future events.

We hired the Iron Broo duo for a corporate ceilidh and they had everyone up on their feet until the very end! Thank you so much Charlie for performing for us - everyone had a fantastic evening with your band. Would definitely recommend Iron Broo and hire again in the future!

Hired Iron Broo for our wedding and they were fantastic! Just what we were after and got everyone on the dance floor!

Hired for ceilidh at Wedding, very accomodating and friendly. Played a requested tune for our first dance. Called/instructed on the dances which was very necessary and useful for people unfamiliar. Flexible on day when time for break and end called. Hired 4 players including a fiddle and sounded great! Had heard play before, and look forward to hearing again.

We booked the fabulous five piece Iron Broo ceilidh band for our wedding at Pittodrie House in July. My parents had previously seen them perform at a Burns ceilidh at the Ardoe and had such a great time that they asked for their business card so we could book them for a future event. We were worried that due to Covid we may not have been able to have a ‘proper’ Scottish wedding but we were delighted when restrictions eased and Charlie and the band were available. We were not disappointed. They did a great job of talking everyone through the various ceilidh dances and were very patient too! They are also very encouraging to any reluctant dancers. We loved how the floor was full of dancers of all ages and how they got everyone mixing together. It was a brilliant night’s entertainment and even those who were willing but unable to dance thoroughly enjoyed listening to these awesome, highly talented musicians. They have years of experience and it shows. Our guests are still talking about what a great time they had and it has also encouraged some of the younger dancers to start learning ceilidh dancing. That’s the impact they had! We also booked their DJ services for our first dance as well as for an hour at the end of the night. They were happy to accept our personalised play list beforehand. This ensured that once again the dance floor was never empty and all our guests were happy and had a brilliant time. I would thoroughly recommend these guys and would have no hesitation in booking them again in the future. The band (two piece) were absolutely brilliant. They were all set up in good time and the music was fantastic. Charlie called the dances where needed - everyone had an absolute ball! Thanks a million. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We hired Iron Broo for an academic conference ceilidh dinner. Our guests were international and needed a hand with the dances - Iron Broo couldn't of been more helpful and were great with everyone! Our attendees loved the music, and a lot of them mentioned it in our post event survey. Charlie was great to deal with, and was patient when I made a mistake with the initial payment amount. Really great to work with! Thanks for a great evening for our attendees - look forward to working together in the future!

Amazing wedding band! Played both a ceilidh set and disco afterparty. Listened to all my crazy plans and created an awesome evening for all my guests. Super value for money and really easy to communicate with.

We were lucky enough to have Iron Broo play for us at our wedding, where half the guests were Scottish and experienced ceilidh and reeling dancers and the other half were German and had no idea what was going on! The fact that Iron Broo got EVERYONE on the dance floor and partaking enthusiastically in both Scottish and German dances is a testament to their legendary music and DJ'ing! The evening simply wouldn't have been the same without them. Thank you so much Iron Broo for making our multi-national wedding such a cracking party!

Iron Brook played at our wedding ceilidh dance. They were fantastic and got everyone on the floor dancing. Would definitely recommend them for a wedding dance. Everyone said it was a great night and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

 Iron Broo played for our wedding ceilidh at the end of May this year and they absolutely fantastic! We had the two band member option as it was a smaller wedding, the music was brilliant and Charlie was very patient in leading us through the dances! I had so much fun and although some of our guests were hesitant to have a go, by Orcadian Strip the Willow, everyone who could was birling away! My family from England were so impressed with the atmosphere created by the music and really enjoyed the dancing. The guests who were not able to dance were still really entertained by the musicians and everyone raved about Irno Broo at the end of the night. Thankfully they were also able to play music while we had a breather but kept the entertainment going. Charlie was also very helpful with my many questions in the lead up to the big day! Couldn't recommend enough! Thank you again!

We were finally able to hold a P7 Leavers' Ceilidh this year post covid. Iron Broo helped to make the evening for our pupils and family and great success. We were a little concerned as many of our pupils and their families had never been to a ceilidh. I need not have worried! The dance floor was full for every dance. Charlie explained the steps and the music was just first class! A very special part of the evening was when the little kids asked for Musical Statues. Charlie and Fred obliged with an array of snappy tunes that got more than just the kids up dancing. Brilliant! The only question is…When can we have our next Iron Broo ceilidh? The band played at our wedding and were fantastic. They had a wide selection of tunes in their repertoire, including non ceilidh tunes to make sure everyone was up and dancing. Thanks guys!

Methlick Community Jubilee Family Ceilidh. What a night we had in June with the Iron Broo Ceilidh Band. From the minute they started until they stopped the dance floor was full of people dancing. Nothing better than a good dance band. It was great have a range of ages. The night went in a flash and we all had the best time. The band were excellent at explaining what to do for those never been to a ceilidh before and a good reminder for us that haven’t had our dancing shoes on for way to long. No photos as too busy dancing the night away.

We hired the Iron Broo Duo for a small corporate evening and we all had an AMAZING time! Communication from Charlie in the lead up to the event was fantastic and it was pure fun on the night. We will definitely book again! Great value for money too.

My much (Covid) belated 60th was a success due to the atmosphere created by Iron Broo. They arrived punctually and the ceilidh commenced on time. Guests from south of the wall really embraced the culture and atmosphere Charlie and his band created, for most it was a first event. The natives were also impressed and asked where Iron Broo were from - fortunately Charlie passed out cards! Charlie encouraged the audience to participate and initially walked through the various dances. A lovely evening, my only regret is I didn't ask Charlie to continue with the follow-on disco! Certainly book again.

Excellent ceilidh band and great folk singers. Would highly recommend.
