Purchased a Falcon Salamander back in November 2022. I wire transferred the purchase price plus shipping cost to USA. It has been four months now, I am getting run around, made up FedEx Tracking Numbers and all kinds of excuses why my purchase wasn't shipped. This business is DISHONEST and Fraud. They took my 1329 Pounds and now has no intention shipping my fully paid purchase.
Have been using this company for a long time. Have purchased quite a few items. Without fail, every department goes above and beyond, customer service, sales technical help, delivery drivers, all deserve top marks. Products prices are very reasonable. Keep up the good work.
Very disappointing experience with caterkwik. Had bought a dishwasher and after few months the tank would fill up slowly. As it was under warranty I called them. They did not ask about limescale or any trouble shooting. Had they done this then it would of been solved. After logging in the call I was given a date which was a week later. I called the day the engineer was supposed to come and they said he will be there After closing the business I waited and waited Then called again and they said he cant make it. It would of been nice to tell me. After many weeks with failed attempts they finally came. He spent less than 5 min and said its limescale. They came without informing me so I was not there. Got the lady to sign the document without proper explaining what she signing. I had that day solved the limescale issue with a descaler and it start to work. But the original problem of filling up was still there. So basically they did not solve my problem and not touch the machine. Then they had the nerve to send me a bill for 178 pounds. As we all know when we call engineers you pay around 70 odd pounds and then by the hour. But these cowboys less than 5 min and without even fixing it sent me this bill. I had to pay another company who said it was not due to limescale and it was the cheap way the machine is made solved it. You would think after messing me around for a month before sending a engineer and not troubleshooting on the phone which would save me money they would reduce the charge. But greed did not let them. They willing to sell you their products but forget about getting it fixed under warranty. They will find ways not to and charge you extortionate rates. We bought 2 single and 3 double bottle coolers a year ago got a 3 years parts and labour warrenty, been trying since 3rd Sep 2017 to have a service engineer now after 4 phone calls and 6 emils I was asked to defrost it and see how that go's service non excistent DON'T BUY FROM THESES. I Had repair done by a company in barnsley cost more than the cooler cost.
I have ordered twice recently (and for the first time using Cater Kwik) and both times have had bad experiences. I ordered a sink back in November only to be told weeks later that it wouldn't arrive until February. I rearranged to get a different sink as needed it for my new premises. I decided to give the benefit of the doubt and ordered one of your Cater Mix 10L mixers, it arrived last Friday and when we finally broke it out of the box, it was rusty. Now considering it's a £600 item and is supposed to be brand new I was not very happy. It looked like it was 10 years old. We then had to re-package it which wasn't easy as it was in a wooden box that had to be hammered together so had to buy nails for it. I sent the mixer back nearly 2 weeks a go and still have not received a refund for this and for the items I did not even receive. Will not be using again. I'm only writing a review now as have emailed several times and emailed company director directly and had no response.Moreexpand_more
Have purchased 4/5 under counter fridges from this company. Have an issue on the door frame of thr last onr, 15 months old, they claim it must be damaged by us being rough closing the door. The door is self closing ! A discracefull way to behave, clearly the waranty on their machines is not worth thr paper it is written on, Buyer beware!
I purchased a Polar Ice Cube Maker through Cater-Kwik at the end of last year. First, don't buy from them. Second, don't buy this machine at all. We use ice in water and diluting juice drinks at home (just two of us) and, the plastic in the machine stinks. It is a nightmare to clean and, with us using water in Scotland, (soft water/no lime scale etc. PLUS we have an online water filter on the cold water tap - shouldn't have been a problem) the unit was unusable after a few months. (NB We changed the water twice a day) Got in touch with Cater-Kwik twice, never even bothered replying to either email. Back to using a much cheaper and BETTER unit. It's gone in the bin! Avoid at all costs…Sent me a shelving unit without it's castors despite it being advertised with. Then took item off their website and claimed I was in the wrong. However when you search item online, it comes up in every other company with castors. This is the second time something like this has happened with this company…Liars and terrible service once money has been exchanged.
Our product was faulty - the delivery service we received was shocking - we are a business in an office 3 floors up - the courier people that this company use TNT would not collect the old one from our office on the 3rd floor - we had to employ 2 men to place the old fridge on the kerb side and they had to unpack the new one - really terrible service - if you are looking at this website I would think again.
I purchased a CK0500 bottle cooler from Cater-Kwik which fails to adequately chill to the selected temperature and then maintain that temperature. In my view, the fridge is faulty or does not perform as Cater-Kwik claim. I have attempted to contact them 6 times, including writing to the Managing Director by recorded delivery. To date, not even an acknowledgement of my concerns. I will now have no option that to take action via my credit card company. Purely for their no existent customer service, let alone the fact that the item I purchased is faulty or mis-represented on their site, I recommend avoiding this company.
I have dealt with Caterkwik on quite a few occasions in the last couple of years and am always pleased with the level of attention, professionalism and positive attitude of everyone who works there. Sales and service are equally keen to help and have got us out of trouble on more than one occassion with their efforts. Caterkwik are always my first call and I always recommend them to others. Great service, excellent value and a range of products to suit everyone. Really first class!
