The jewellery includes pieces from many eras and styles including Victorian, Edwardian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. Brooches include a wide range from Parisian designer Lea Stein. There are jewellery sets and necklaces, some designer signed.
There are buttons, bracelets, bangles and beads of all kinds including Venetian glass, Whitby jet, pearls, early plastics such as bakelite, crystals and semi precious stones. With her experience as a collector and her interest in jewellery and costume history Caroline is always happy to meet collectors and buyers and sellers and to source pieces for you. Trade buyers are very welcome. All items sold are costume there are no genuine gold things as the business does not buy or sell real gold or diamond jewels. Preferring jewellery made from humble materials like plastic, make do and mend felts and embroidery, glass and so on the business seeks the unusual and likes the faux or fake. Prices are always affordable and many items fall into the ten to twenty pounds bracket. Caroline is a member of the Historical Plastics Society, the Bead Society of Great Britain and the Compact Collectors Society. She is also happy to offer talks to local groups such as the WI.
