Carmine Proofreading is a proofreading business, offering a friendly, flexible service to double-check your writing, whether it is a book, marketing material, blog post or academic writing. No job is too small to be considered! I specialise in legal works and self-published novels, including crime, thriller and young adult.

Carmine Proofreading can proofread and make the necessary adjustments in Word, on pdf or on paper, using the BSI symbols or edits and comment boxes. I am professionally trained, having passed the Publishing Training Centre's Basic Proofreading course with a Distinction.

A proofreader will ensure your work looks its best and the reader is not distracted by errors, making the text look professional whilst retaining your style. As a proofreader, I am trained in checking for: spelling, grammar and punctuation; heading and layout style; that everything referenced is present and correct, as well as more general consistency, such as that of names and places.
