“Detox? ! ” I responded startled when Carmen explained that she wanted me to try her new Healthy Eating Programme. I knew in myself that I wanted to lose the weight, after recent parties and holidays, but the thought of completing a detox, I’ll be honest, scared me. Not only am I a really fussy eater, but I am also the least likely person to stand and prepare food. After lots of discussions with Carmen, I decided that it was about time I stopped making excuses and give it a go – knowing that I would have Carmen’s support during the process. So day one arrived and I had done my shopping with my mum, who was also completing the detox with me, and off we went on the 21 day journey. At first I felt like I was always thinking about what I was going to eat but that soon went, especially once I got into the flow of planning my meals and timings. The more I drank the green tea, the more I got used to it and began to prefer it, but did struggle at first with the 2 Litres of water a day. By the end of week one I was so surprised that I was waking up earlier, happier in myself, had more energy and generally in a better mood. The ten minute exercises I found to be invaluable to the programme, especially as I was able to complete the exercises by myself, following the work and rest timings. I am not going to admit that they were easy, because they weren’t, but always having Carmen to check progress at Bootcamps made it feel worthwhile. I firmly believe that the exercises really made the difference, and ten minutes a day is nothing to moan about once you reap the benefits!So I had made it day 14, and I couldn’t believe that I had stuck at it without cheating! After meeting up with Carmen to discuss progress, she advised me to stop the detox and move onto maintenance, as I had reached my ideal weight. Following the weigh in, I had lost 10 pounds in 14 days! I could not believe the difference that had been made, and to top it all off, people were commenting on how well I looked (if that’s not a good enough boost, I don’t know what would have been!) So I had done it! I was so surprised! I know that without the invaluable support from Carmen, I wouldn’t have succeeded as much as I had! Moving onto the maintenance then became the easier part, and although I still have the odd treat now and again, I still stick to the eating programme, as I truly believe that it has changed my perception of food, understanding it is “food for fuel, not food to fill!”.Greatest thanks to Carmen!Moreexpand_more
I would just like to say, what a lovely lady carmon is, since joining her Zumba class in January, iam now going to carmons boot camp class on a Saturday, and now doing detox program. I feel great really enjoying the detox program, and exercise that goes with it the support you get from carmon is 100percent and also makes exercise fun to do .
Carmen is the best instructor I have encountered. I have benefited from attending her Pilates class enormously. She creates the perfect environment to have a thorough stretch and workout without noticing the work involved. I have noticed a significant increase in my flexibility, strength and calmness. This has helped me deal with the stress and pressures of everyday live and to manage my anxiety disorder. I will continue to go out of my way to attend this class over others that are similar.
Just want to endorse all the previous reviews. Started in May with Zumba and Boot camp on a Thursday now also join the Saturday outdoor Boot camp and the Zumba Yogalites on Mondays. Never thought I would enjoy exercise so much. She makes it fun whilst at the same time making you push yourself that bit further to achieve that extra push up! Can now move without creaking. Hi I have been doing Zumba and boot camp for a few months now. With Carmen's support and encouragement I have now started to run and enjoy doing exercise, Carem you are a star and a great person who encourages you to do your best Thank you for everything. Carol warrenBeechdale.
Carmen is one of the best fitness instructors you will find. She is a understanding, caring and knows how to get the best out of you. I do zumba and boot camp at first i was a little nervous with no self confidence or rythem but Carmen soon got rid of that. Her classes are full of fun and energy just like one big happy family. This woman sure knows how to get the best out of you she is push push push constantly. I have been doing zumba and bootcamp for approx 5 weeks now and have never felt so good sure for a couple of days after you ache like mad but still i am always excited for the next session. If you want to get fit and have fun Carmens the one to get your bum into action she did it for me.
I have always participated in sports, but struggled to find a class that was made fun; however, Carmen's Zumba and Boot camp classes do just that! Carmen is a really good trainer, showing you how to achieve your personal goals, within your own limits. This was a real positive for me, as I like to train in a way which suits me, but with someone who is willing to keep pushing me. Carmen's Zumba classes are great fun and a fantastic way to get fit and healthy, with a brilliant trainer! Boot camp allows you to push yourself to new limits, but always within your own reach! Would definitely recommend both classes! I have also had Sports massage treatment from Carmen, and had fantastic results. Carmen is exceptionally professional and this is demonstrated further through her comprehensive knowledge of the service she provides. I would definitely recommend Carmen!
I was never good at sports at school and most of my p. E teachers didn't like me because I was never good at p. E. But I can honestly say I enjoy going to boot camp and ZUMBA. When I joined I didn't think I was going to enjoy it but when I came back from my first ZUMBA session I couldn't wait to go back. ZUMBA is totally amazing with Carmen, and so much fun! Boot camp is good too, even though it is hard. You do ache after the first session but each week it gets easier. When I go to boot camp and ZUMBA the 2 hours fly by. I would totally recommend Carmen's classes to anyone, she is just so lovely and you just want to give her a hug :)! I have participated in several of Carmen's aerobic/bums tums and thighs and spinning classes. The experience is always thoroughly energetic and enjoyable with excellent results for my fitness as I am a regular runner up to half marathon distance who needs to regularly participate in other fitness disciplines to maximise fitness and prevent injuries. Carmen has also on occasions visited my home with her sports massage service, which is excellent as you are in the relaxed environment of your own home, a service provided at your own convenience which is again very thorough and professional, and what's more you can relax immediately after your treatment without the hassle of having to get yourself back home. Excellent service and delivery all round.
I was finding it hard to motivate myself to do an exercise class but found Carmen's Zumba class great fun and an excellent way to keep fit. I didn't need to be a great dancer, I could just keep up at my own pace. Carmen's an excellent teacher and I'd recommend her without reservation.
