About Caring Counselling
My name is Jane, and I am the owner of Caring Counselling. I am a fully qualified counsellor and member of the BACP.
If you have come across my advert, then you are clearly looking for some help with your mental health, and that is ok.
You have come to the right place because I am an integrative counsellor, which means that whatever you tell me, I will ensure that when we are working through it, we will do it together, and it will be personal to you.
I hold certificates in HND Counselling, HNC Counselling, HNC in Childcare and Education, PDA in Addiction, Telephone and Online Counselling, and Pupil Support Assistance.
My background for the past 25 years has been in childcare.
Within counselling, there are different ways to help you with your issues. These are called modalities and they come from the psychologists that most people know of but don't know much about.
Freud is the one that I think everyone has heard of, and he invented the psychodynamic modality, where the counsellor or psychotherapist takes you back to your childhood and works through to your adulthood with you to give you a better understanding of how you have become the person you are.
Carl Rogers is the other one, and he developed the person centred route where the client comes in every week, and if there is a different issue each week, then so be it.
CBT, or cognitive behavioural therapy, is what Skinner developed, and this is more homework-based. So integrative, which is what I do, is a combination of all three, depending on what you bring to the therapy room. My therapy room is in my home, and it is quiet, harmonious and homely, where you will hopefully feel relaxed.0 FreeIndex Reviews
