I am a lady in my late 60's and had Kevin Walsh to fit flush downlights to a large bedroom and install a light in my garage. He arrived promptly at 8am with his assistant and worked diligently until finishing the job at 11am. Kevin pointed out that he has drilled a 6cm diameter hole from the bedroom into one of the joists in the ceiling in error, and I would have to fill this in myself. And also, although not responsible for the hole that the original light fitting came out of, this too was left as a gaping hole in the ceiling. I had expected that at the very least some expanding foam or plasterboard could have been used to fill both in. He told me that I, or my son, would have to go up into the loft and put some plasterboard over the 2 holes and plaster them over in the bedroom. This is a daunting task as the loft is not boarded and the joists are covered with thick insulation, quite a treacherous endeavour to walk along hidden joists with nothing to hold on to! So although the work was completed, we were left with 2 holes to make good. There were also 6 pencilled crosses left on the ceiling next to various light fittings, which may not seem much, but it wouldn't have taken up much time for him to remove these before he left. On payment I was shocked to find that he wanted cash-in-hand. I told him that I didn't have £300 in the house. He told me to go to a cash machine and he would wait in his van until I returned. I do not think that this is a very business-like and I was very uncomfortable dealing with him in this way. I got no receipt. Turns up without the correct things, came back next day again without correct things.

Asked for a quote, got it pretty quickly, guy was punctual,good clean job, also gave me instruction in how to use new fuse board, contact number was put on fuse board, and the guy is available for any future advice/work. Would highly recommend and use again.

Good reliable contractor - definitely plan to use them again for domestic works.
