Chris fitted French doors for me on 24/6/21. Clearly a skilled tradesman, very fair price and a nice guy. Would not hesitate to recommend him.

Fitted 4 internal doors, also a wood floor to our hall. All work was completed on time and to a very high standard. We can highly recommend his work.

Chris renovated our old boxed in staircase, fitting spindles and new hand rails, as well as hanging seven internal doors. He provided samples before he began and his advice regarding the job was first class, the finished product being excellent. Chris always turned up on time when he was expected and it was a pleasure to have him around. A first class joiner we would be happy to have back again and recommend to others.

Chris fitted laminated oak flooring to the hallway and 3 rooms, plus 5 very heavy oak doors with matching frames, architrave and skirting. The workmanship is first class and the results look stunning. The job took 5 days to complete, well within the expected timescale, and we were delighted with the finished work - as we had been with Chris' helpfulness and his 'can do' attitude. I wouldn't hesitate to pass on Chris Shaw's details to family and friends . . . I can't think of a higher recommendation.

This was the first time of using Chris Shaw, he arrived on time and was well prepared for the job in hand, to hang two internal wooden doors. He covered his working area and cleaned up any mess that was made. Whilst here Chris was pleased to advise and quote on another job which needed doing outside the house. CJ Shaw have fitted all of our doors over the past few months and boxed in under our stairs to make a coat cupboard. Chris's work is brill. The standard is very high and we just can't fault it in any way. He also mended two of my mum's doors that had been a problem for over 10 years and been attended to by several other joiners. Repaired a portacabin and made agood job of it.

I have been using Chris Shaw for over 20 years. Over this time he has replaced all my windows, outside doors and garden fences in addition to doing many other minor jobs - planing doors, fitting locks, replacing letter boxes etc. He is an excellent craftsman who takes great pride in doing a job well. He works industriously and carefully to produce results of a high standard. He gives good professional advice when choosing materials and fittings, putting the customer’s interest first. His charges are always reasonable and reflect the written estimate he furnishes. He is reliable in his time-keeping and will make every effort to attend as soon as he is able, particularly if the task is urgent. Well presented in himself he ensures that work area is left clean and tidy when he finishes. I can recommend Chris Shaw without hesitation. .

We’ve used C J Shaw joinery twice in the past 3 weeks to hang 15 replacement internal doors in our house. Chris did an excellent job of fitting the doors, was punctual, reliable and offered good value for money. We’d have no hesitation in using Chris again for our future joinery projects.

From our very first meeting with Chris my husband and I knew he was the right man for the job.
