We bitterly regret getting Paul's company to do the work on our house. At the time, the work seemed OK - though it always took 3x longer than quoted for. There were some major snags that Paul promised to put right (moving floorboards, cracked render, faulty plug socket, and shower door that did not work). Unfortunately we haven't heard from him since (1 1/2 years later) and we are left having to pay for the repairs ourselves. Subsequently, faults have appeared in the work they did - leaking roof, leaking shower, smelly drains, faulty radiator, and cracking plaster. The decoration was poor (eg: no undercoat so knots in the wood are now bleeding through). The varnish on the wooden doors wasn't adequate so they are now stained. In addition, our extension wasn't sealed adequately so we've had a mouse infestation. As a retired couple we are now having to spend our savings to put right his wrongs. I asked 3 quotes for plastering all walls and ceiling in the entrance, living room, staircase and landing in my house. BBC was neither the cheapest nor the dearest, I hired them because Paul's assessment of the job was thorough and honest and I thought the quote sensible. Alternative solutions were given for problem areas with no pressure. The work area was cleaned at the end of each day and both Paul and his colleague Jonathan were courteous and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend them to family and friends.

Paul and his colleague fitted and plastered a false ceiling in a 4X3m room and reinforced existing ceiling in 3 quarters of a day. The finish is very good. The advice given from quotation stage through to finished job was sensible and understandable. I would not hesitate to recommend BBC to family or friends and intend to utilise Paul and his team in future work.

BBC have worked for me for a year dealing with the damp course, roof, guttering, re-wiring the house and fitting a new central heating system. The work has been of a very high standard and what few problems have occurred have been dealt with promptly.

I contacted BBC Home Improvements to provide a free quotation for new gutters, a bay roof to be replaced and new plaster on the walls and ceiling in the bedroom. This was due to a leek I had through the bedroom ceiling. A contract was drawn up and works started promptly. The gutters and bay roof have been replaced successfully and I am so happy that my bedroom is now water tight. The internal works are yet to be completed as we have discovered a more serious issue with regards to the structure of the house. I have had a structural engineer and a loss adjuster (from my insurance) visiting my property and BBC Home Improvements have given up their time freely to be present and support me. For this alone, I am very grateful! BBC Home Improvements are reliable, helpful and provide quality work. I would highly recommend this company.

Had a double fitted wardrobe built in the strange angled eaves of our attic, around a steal roof beam, a really difficult shape to build in, the above standard work was completed well ahead of schedule and under budget by very knowledgeable and skilled work men. The job was constructed to the highest standard and the work area left clean and tidy. I have absolutley no hesitation in recomending this company to anyone.

Just had some damp in my bedroom sorted. The service was very friendly & reliable. The builders were very courteous & kept me very well informed on all aspects of the work that was being carried out. Would highly recommend.

Paul and his team from Britannia Building Company have undertaken several renovation projects which included cleaning out gutters, replacing missing or misplaced slate roof tiles, building up and making good rear yard wall making it sound for fitting new wooden gate, stripping and replacing lead to two Victorian bay windows. Paul was polite, reliable and punctual. He and his team worked in a professional fashion and cleaned up and removed rubbish at the end of each days work. Quality of workmanship was excellent on all the jobs undertaken. Quotes for jobs very reasonable and competitive. I hope to engage his services for other major building projects required about the house and I would have no hesitation recommending Paul and Britannia Building Company for any minor or major building projects.

Britannia Building Company carried out building work for a new kitchen. This included knocking one wall down and bricking up another. The company also installed French doors. I found the company to be extremely reliable and completed all the work within the quoted price and close to the stated time line. Britannia also painted and decorated the new kitchen and living rooms, while the job was timely there were some areas that needed a touch up; this was completed quickly after requesting.
