About Brigstone Stable

Brigstone Stable recently refurbished and modernised Annexe to the Grade II Listed Brigstone House in Lothersdale, North Yorkshire.

Built in 1794, the former Quaker's' house boasts a prime location, just 0. 1 miles from the iconic Pennine Way with extensive views to the south and the panoramic Pinhaw Beacon, just a short walk to the north.

Having purchased the overall property in 2019, Alex and Amanda began the daunting process of sympathetically upgrading the whole house, with particular focus on the annexe.

Ideally suited to lovers of the outdoors (Cyclists, Runners, Hikers, Photographers etc), Brigstone Stable offers modern comforts, with look to the past.

Modern kitchen, shower room, Smart TV, complimentary high speed Wifi and drying room are just some of the benefits that you can look forward to.

If you are a lover of the great outdoors, then Brigstone Stable has much to offer.

With the Yorkshire Dales National Park just eight miles away, and towns such as Skipton, Hebden Bridge and Ilkley, within easy access, guests can enjoy great cycling, a huge variety of footpaths for all abilities, crossing moorland, woodland, rivers, streams and becks.

Alex and Amanda have done am amazing job of making the annexe to this historic building a high spec home from home. Everything you need is here, a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful bathroom with an amazing shower, a lovely living area and two good sized bedrooms, one of which has views over the living area and is a real feature. The property is in a wonderful part of the world, surrounded by countryside and hills. This is perfect for a cycling break and Alex has an encyclopedic knowledge of local roads, climbs, pot holes and cattle grids. The cycling here is amazing. Despite being in the middle of the countryside, there is a good pub within walking distance (cross country) and shops are not too far to drive. Alex and Amanda are great hosts and I would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful, homely accomodation with wonderful amenities and offset by gorgeous countryside with the most lovely hosts. Such a calming place to visit, would definitely recommend to anyone whether it's adventuring through Yorkshire hiking or biking, or just finding a moment to breathe and read a book next to the fire. Locally sourced produce and handmade soap were an incredible touch too!

Fabulous. Location, accommodation and hosts. Couldn't really fault anything. £100 per night for outstanding quality right down to the handmade soaps and local produce in the welcome pack.
