Have used Bob on a number of occasions now, and always found him to be the very model of professionalism. Quick to attend an emergency when some idiot (me) punctured a pipe, and always looking for a creative solution, rather than just going for the most expensive option. He re-commissioned a plumbing system in our guest house with minimum disruption to fixtures and fittings, despite numerous issues with the long-disused pipework. Bob is always willing to explain his work, and offer advice on how I could DIY simple repairs. He is friendly, engaging, very knowledgeable, and very reasonable in price. Will definitely use again, and would highly recommend to others.

Scheduled an appointment quickly, arrived promptly and discussed the issue of a leaking shower thoroughly and to my satisfaction. Got on with the work quickly and to a high standard. It was a tedious job removing and replacing caulking. Much better than the previous work.

We have a guest house and a family home and we have used Bobs for both. Can’t recommend them enough. Great with both small jobs and bigger projects. Trustworthy and friendly customer service and very good paid. We use Bobs regularly and highly recommend them. Never had a problem and have been using them regularly for over 2 years now.

When Bob first arrived, I made him a coffee and after a quick debrief left him to get on with the job. Within 30 minutes Bob requested a plaster as he had accidentally drilled a hole in his hand, I got a first aid kit and offered my help to bandage it up. I was genuinely concerned as he seemed to have put quite a deep cut into his hand. Bob said he was fine to continue the job. I checked in with him a few times to see if his hand was ok and he said he was grand. He seemed a friendly chap, we made small talk for a minute but Bob was keen to get on with the job so my two kids and I left him to it. Nearly 2 hours into the job, Bob called me into the kitchen to say that my cupboard door was proving hard to fit to the dishwasher due to a curved or bevelled edge and then he pointed out that he had drilled too hard and it had gone through my door. I was taken aback as Bob shrugged this issue off saying it was no big deal, he said I should get some glue to stop the cupboard peeling. He didn’t apologise, in fact he said a few times the hole was small and barely noticeable and that it wouldn’t take me much to stop it splitting further. He did not accept responsibility for his error. He didn’t feel he should fix it. I explained that I wasn’t happy for him to leave the door with a hole and asked Bob to fix it or discount his price of £200 for our inconvenience. He had ruined my kitchen unit door. At this point Bob’s “nice guy” demeanour changed and he became aggressive and defensive saying “are ya gonna be like this, are ya missus?” He insisted there was nothing he could do. I expressed concern again and told him I wanted to pay him fairly and it was then that he threatened to rip the entire job out of the wall while stomping around my kitchen gathering up his tools. At this point, I became quite afraid of his threatening behaviour, witnessed by my 8 year old son, that I phoned my husband and asked him to speak with Bob who was irate and shouting, even though my husband and I both spoke calmly with him. My husband asked him what he felt was a fair price at this point considering he had damaged the door, and to my surprise Bob quoted £250! £50 MORE than he had originally quoted. Bob justified this price hike saying that he had to wire electrics which cost extra, but at no point alerted me to the extra charge whilst installing the dishwasher. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. To add insult to injury, Bob pointed out a crack in my kitchen floor tiles and sneered “ I don’t know why you’re concerned about a small hole in your cupboard door when you’ve cracks in your tiles that you aren’t getting fixed. ” I couldn’t believe how insulting this man was being. So unprofessional. Bob was gradually becoming more enraged as I refused to pay him the £250 he wanted. In the end he got £200. He had worked for 2.5 hours, fitted and plumbed a dishwasher so I wanted to pay him fairly for his time. I personally had wanted to give him £150 keeping back money to pay for a damaged cupboard but, upon hearing his aggressive and riled attitude over the phone, my husband insisted I gave him the £200 to avoid the incident being escalated as I was at home alone with my two children. He was genuinely fearful for my safety. Bob left without fixing the hole he drilled through my kitchen unit, he even had the audacity to express concern stating, “ I’ve, seen your type before, Lady. Trying to do me out of money. ” I was in complete disbelief as this man, who had wrecked my cupboard door and left blood all over my kitchen due to a misdemeanour with his drill, was now insulting me and trying his best to belittle me.Moreexpand_more
Response : Due to the increase in stress that is witnessed across our country, A donation in the name of Mrs. Lisa McConville will be made on June 3rd, 2021 for £200 to Aware NI, so that she may, if she wishes, still receive a full refund by claiming the donation against her taxes. All work is guaranteed or money back at Bobs Plumbers. We received harassment calls from the customer's mother, husband & 3 reviews, Yell. Com, Freeindex. Com, and Google Maps. Would Lisa have left a glowing review across three different review sites and calls of praise for a remarkable job? This attempt to affect the financial security of my family and the people I employ seems unbalanced and falls under the term cyberbullying and as such, begs the question is it reasonable to have a genuine concern about a young person under her authority at Malone College in Belfast who accidentally rubbed her the wrong way? We have not contacted the PSNI but we will actively manage this case. Warm Wishes, Bob.Moreexpand_more

We had a leaking toilet and needed new taps fitted in the bathroom. Robbie couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. He had to call round a few times, and he explained everything, and got to the bottom of the problem. I have to say, in my personal experience, there aren't many like him around any more. Did the job, totally reasonable rates, courteous, down to earth, turned up when he said he would. As I said, this is rare. I'd recommend him in a second.

I had an ongoing issue with the thermostat in one of the showers which meant that I was unable to get a steady flow of warm water. Despite seeing several plumbers the issue was yet to be resolved so I decided to give another shot and I was delighted to come across Bob's plumbers. The work involved was tedious and costly, however I appreciate the work done and overall I am quite satisfied. If a situation arises in the future I would not hesitate to ring back.

My toilet cistern began flooding on Monday, and Thank Heavens I had kept Bob's number. They sent Rob, and he was at my home within the hour. He had it fixed within 20 minutes. I am severely Disabled and the care and politeness shown to me was exceptional. I asked Rob would he come back to fit sink taps, and tile the shower where mould had decayed the tiles. We arranged a very reasonable price, and he came the next morning. The quality of the work was second to none. And for no extra cost he tiled part of the bathroom that was not even part of the shower. So Thank You to Bob's Belfast Plumbers and Thank you to Rob.Moreexpand_more
Response : Thank you, just couldn't walk away leaving the window sil not tiled. It was my pleasure. Best of luck!

I wanted to have a shower replaced and I rang Bob's Plumbers on a Tuesday morning. I was given a quote for the work and I was able to arrange an appointment for 2. 00 pm that day. Robbie turned up on the dot of 2. 00 pm, had all the equipment required to do the job. He was very polite and professional. He was working at the job for longer than the time specified, but charged only the amount of the original quote. He also offered some good advice about the siting of the new unit which was slightly smaller than the old one and carried out some minor cosmetic work. I was very pleased with the promptness of the service, the professionalism of the plumber, how tidy a worker he was and the price. Mrs Gibson, Banbridge.
Response : Thank you for the kind words Mrs. Gibson. Enjoy your new shower!

We called Bob's plumbers to install a washing machine and dishwasher. Excellent job was carried out with Bob staying for much, much longer than we expected due to the (unexpected) complexities of the job yet he still only charged the original price quoted on the phone. Joinery and and electrics were also carried out to a high standard. Would strongly recommend this friendly and conscientious fellow who even hoovered up after himself! Great job!

Had problems with shower leaking from first floor into kitchen. Done checks with seal, grout etc but couldn't find the problem. Stupidly made a go of it myself and broke the main inlet pipe so it was like a burst pipe. Called bobs who came out straight away, fixed my burst pipes, fixed the leaking shower, all within an hour. The chap who came out was pleasant, explained everything in detail, gave me some DIY tips and the price was the only shock. Very reasonable. I had called other companies before and was quoted triple what bobs charged. Thank you and I will use again.

I contacted Bob's plumbers to install an integrated dishwasher in my kitchen. This involved getting a dishwasher, taking apart a cabinet, removing footer-boards on the cabinets, changing wiring behind the dishwasher, adding necessary plumbing for the dishwasher, putting the old cabinet front onto the dishwasher, and putting everything back in to the spot so that it looked like the same cabinet as before. Let me just say that this was NOT an easy job. If I went with another company, they would have had to get a joiner for the cabinets, and a plumber for the water, plus someone else to take care of electrical. Bob's Plumbers did it all, and with zero complaints. Work was kept tidy, cabinets were fitted just right, and the final product was amazing. I am very glad I had them do it and not the "other guy" - this could have been a very long and drawn out project, but they kept with it and got it done quicker than expected. Value: Price beat the competitor quote. Service: Good communication and attitude throughout; job done as instructed.Quality: Good attention to detail and the final product is very good.I'd be happy to recommend Bob's Plumbers.Moreexpand_more

I called Bob to change a tap: on the phone he was friendly and willing to help. When the guy came to my place for the job, WOW it was fast and clean, not a single drop left anywhere after he finished! No surprises on the money-side either: Bob did his best to give me a price on the phone, and that was exactly what I paid. Great service, great people, good prices. I will absolutely reccomand it! Thanks a lot again!
