Bob Ross Painting Classes with Paul and Terri

This class covers everything I wanted to know as a beginner. Between the video and the instructional pamphlets, I’ve learned more from this that I ever could have by just watching The Joy of Painting. This course has made me feel confident enough to create a painting without a video tutorial, using my own inspiration photo. On top of all that, Paul is wonderful about answering any questions and mentoring. This course very quickly took me from extreme amateur who had NO idea what I was doing, to a competent beginner with boundless opportunity for growth as an artist. If you’re considering buying the course- He goes over how to save a LOT of money with helpful hints and tips. Just that part alone has saved me 10x’s what this course cost in just a week. From pallets, to canvas’, to brushes, to paints. This course will teach you how to make/mix the colors you see in your mind with just a few basic colors. You will see what to do if you don’t care for the color you’ve made (how to fix mistakes!), how to clean your brushes, and so so much more. With detailed instructions on 3 different paintings (not just landscapes!) this course is an absolute bargain and I very much recommend it. I have attended Paul and Terri's Leatherhead class and have been lucky enough to have some one to one classes with Paul. I am extremely pleased with the pictures I produced, a rose, a seascape and two wonderful pictures of my dogs ( one of which is attached). A big thank you for Paul's advice, help, patience and humour throughout, I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and will be back for more soon :-).

I have just spent three days of personal tuition with Paul and Terri. These days were extremely worthwhile and I learned so much! It was totally worth the time, travel ( I came from South Devon) and the cost (really not expensive! ). The atmosphere was totally conducive to learning and the friendliness beyond compare. Paul and Terri are a lovely couple who always make you welcome and relaxed. They obviously go to great lengths to prepare their lessons for us. We use multi-media and a variety of techniques. I have been to 11 of their classes and have been amazed at the results (especially when I get home when I can see the picture from a distance instead of from 18"). I went to the back of the classroom yesterday and admired ALL of the paintings, including the 2, 1st timers! If you get into difficulty, Paul or Terri will effortlessly get you on the right path and no-one will see where you went wrong. I have not painted since l was at school which was a long time ago and l was not that good either. I decided to have a private class as was quite nervious, l should not have worried from the first meeting of Paul and Terri they made you so relaxed. I dont know where the day went it was fab and to take home a painting that l had done and very proud of l felt on top of the world. The comments l have had about my painting has been amazing. My wife and I had never attended a painting class before, or indeed ever painted a picture. Step by step instructions were given to assure everyone was okay. The day was a delight and Paul & Terri made us very comfortable and welcomed. Even though we were novices the end product was two lovely paintings. Have attended several classes now and have thoroughly enjoyed every one! Fantastic tutors and therefore fantastic results - my paintings are much admired. Would recommend to anyone, both novice and more experienced artists alike.

I purchased 3 gift vouchers for relatives last Christmas (and went along myself). Had a great time and was really proud of the paintings we produced thanks to the help of Paul and Terri. Would recommend anyone to try it - you won't be disappointed and will be arranging your next day of painting before you finish the first one!

I had a thoroughly enjoyable day and was amazed at what I achieved having never attempted to draw or paint before. Paul is a great tutor - both patient and encouraging. I have been to classes at both the Home Studio and at Leatherhead. Both sites are well equipped and comfortable. Paul is excellent teacher and makes you feel very relaxed, overcoming all fears at what can be a very daunting experience if you are new to painting. Having been to 3 classes now, Paul is still very helpful without crowding you - he knows just when to step in.
