Bob Miller and Son

This is the 2nd time we have used Bob Miller and Son in the last 4 years so we didn't bother to get any other quotes this time as we knew that their workmanship is second to none. Terry offers a complete building service to include arranging to have plans drawn up. He and George have recently finished our kitchen extension which we are so pleased with. They are hard working, honest and reliable, working only on one job at a time unlike many. Terry will always keep you fully involved in any problems he might forsee which of course is not always obvious in initial consultation. The other tradesmen Terry employs (in our case plasterer and kitchen fitter) also work to the same very high standards. Terry's reputation is paramount to him so needless to say he goes all out to ensure you are happy with the work undertaken. We would not hesitate to (and already have) recommend Bob Miller and Son to anyone. You really won't go wrong with them.

Over the last sixteen years Bob and Terry have built two extensions a garage and laid paths and A patio for us. More recently Terry has returned to put up a fence and has completely refitted the kitchen altering a doorway at the same time. As always the work was of the highest standard, they were clean and tidy and always very reliable P. S. We would not use anyone else.

Terry madea a great first impression arriving punctually with notebook and pen for a discussion of the work. He listened to our concerns, always discussed the different options available and the cost implications. He liaised with the scaffolders and our neighbours to ensure a problem-free job. The work site was always left immaculate - tidier than before he started! He was polite and professional. As hidden problems emerged, he consulted us and gave us best advice. Best builder we have ever met!

Terry and George spent around 6 weeks transforming every room in our house into a quality home! From the moment Terry came to the house, we knew we were in good hands, his help and advice was great, this was then followed up by detailed written quotes. The team completely refitted both the kitchen and bathroom, they created built in wardrobes, laid flooring, fitted internal new doors throughout and replaced the garage door - all the work was finished to an exceptionally high standard. The team's workmanship is outstanding and we are thrilled with the results. Terry and George arrived promptly in the morning and cleared up every day; not leaving our 'job' until everything was completed, including all the extras we asked for! We would not hesitate to use them again and would most certainly recommend them to anyone.

The Miller team set a standard all of their own. The quality of the work is exceptional. If you have high standards of perfection and no tolerance of corner cutting, then this firm will tick those boxes. Bob and Terry were with us for about 3 months, building a kitchen extension and changing the bathroom and waste pipe around. It entailed both the kitchen being shrunk and the bathroom being out of action for periods of time - could of been horrendous. It wasn't brilliant - but that wasn't their fault. I've never had building work done before, but found them pleasant, hard working, tidy (in so far as knocking walls down can be! ), always told me about extras before they were done and never left me in the lurch. Would recommend to anyone.

We had the skeelings taken out of our bedroom and bathroom and replaced with proper floor to ceiling walls. They arrived 8am every day and stayed to 4pm with a lunch break. They even bought their own tea/coffee etc. Very nice men, worked very hard. They stayed on site, no skipping off to other jobs - all done in 30 days. Amazing guys, would and have recommended them to my friends.

A large hedge was removed and replaced with a brick wall. Neighbours and passers-byhave commented both on how industrious the team worked and the smart appearanceof the finished result. Each evening the site was left clean and tidy. An excellent job. I have used this company many times ie fitted kitchen/ installation of bathrom etc and they have always given complete satisfaction.

Bob Miller & Son have added two ensuite bathrooms to our home. This was a complex build which took four months to complete. Their work is exceptional. Both Bob and Terry are great people, very reliable and honest. Their attention to detail is fantastic. We can highly recommend them for any type of building work and will certainly use them again in the future.

Quite simply we could not fault Bob and Terry. Between 29th June - early September 2009, they constructed a 4th bedroom/ study for us and also knocked through from the master bedroom to the 2nd bedroom. They were utterly reliable, meticulous in their attention to detail and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. They were a pleasure to have around, always good humoured, clearing up after themselves every day and constantly communicating with us every step of the way. They are the tops!

Construction of a Conservatory and large patio at the rear of our bungalow. Twelve years ago when we moved to our present home the property was in need of major reconstruction including the provision of two bathrooms. We employed Bob Miller and his son Terry to carry out that work and we were so impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail that the decision to ask them to quote for the most recent work was an easy one to make. On this occasion the estimate of both the cost and length of time required for the job both proved accurate and at all times they did their utmost to minimise disruption. We could not have asked for more. It was a pleasure to have them working for us and we are delighted with the end result. The quality of their work is superb, nothing is too much trouble and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to others.

Bob Miller & Son built a two storey extension for us, knocking down a single storey extension in the process. They have been very hardworking, reliable, conscientious, tidy, helpful and the extension looks terrific. They have done a fantastic job and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Bob Miller and Son built an extension for us and did various other work to improve our home. They arrived on the date they said they would and stayed on site until the job was completed. I remember that they went home on one day at about lunchtime when the rain was torrential and they were unable to work. Bob Miller project managed the whole work and they arrived at 8 a. M. They worked incredibly hard and consulted with us throughout the whole building works. If they thought something could be improved upon they would discuss it with us. A Loft Conversion was completed on my property and some re-furbisment work on othe rooms. The work was of a high standard with some very good modifications and ideas suggested by the builder. I will certainly use his company again. Everything was left clean and tidy. Any ongoing changes were always discussed, priced and agreed, so there was no arguments when the final invoice arrived.

A planned patio was drawn out as an idea and Bob Miller discussed it and then measured out the area. Good drainage and a solid base were vital requirements for this pation and Bob Miller & Son were one of only 2 builders who identified and recognised this fundamental need. The quotation was then presented and discussed. It incorporated all the ideas and requirements accurately. On agreement to the contract the paving was decided out of a selection of edgings and slabs. Work started a week early which was really good as it meant it finished earlier. The team started every morning at 8am prompt. I was kept updated appropriately.
