Birth Right Hypnobirthing provides a full ante natal birth preparation programme to mums and their chosen birth partner. The course is 12 hours and provides relaxation techniques, understanding of the biology of birth, options and choices available to parents and information about pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

My name is Nancy Keen and I have been teaching hypnobirthing for 15 years, since the birth of my first daughter. I am passionate about giving birthing people and partners confidence for birth, so they can have a positive birthing experience. Many expect hypnobirthing to be all about natural or drug free birth, but my aim is to help you have the birth that is RIGHT FOR YOU. That may be a water birth at home, but it may be an induced labour and Cesarean birth. I want you to feel that you know what your choices are so that you can make decisions that are right for you, we're not all the same!

The worst thing about hypnobirthing is the word HYPNObirthing. Most of us think of stage hypnosis, clucking like chickens or being out of control. Hypnobirthing is NOT stage hypnosis. We use hypnotherapy techniques to get into a deep state of relaxation; That sort of relaxation that you may feel as you are drifting off to sleep. You are still in control, but you feel calm. We also use hypnotherapy techniques to think about birth in a different way. Most of us are scared of birth, it's what we see in the media and hear from other people's stories, but birth can be a wonderful experience.
