James did an amazing job of creating beautiful real wood shelves in two 'Edinburgh Press' recesses in our house. They turned out even better than we could have imagined. His attention to detail goes way beyond normal joinery and everything is done with great precision. I should also say that another remarkable thing was that there was never a single speck of sawdust anywhere at any time. Thankyou for doing such an amazing job!

I saw two of the lamps while on holiday in Scotland, once home I contacted the shop I had seen the lamps in who forwarded my details to James where I not only bought the two lamps I’d seen but a third as I was unable to make up my mind. The lamps are really different, look great to get her or slone, the quality is undeniable and they are the objects of many compliments and people asking where we got them. So refreshing to have something different that won’t age and it’s dimplicity will ensure the lamps would look fab in. A variety of rooms / changing decor. Service excellent, cannot recommend them enough- love them!

We got Birbeck Woodwork to build a large book-case in our main living room. We asked if it could fit into the wall and look as though it was an established part of the fabric of the room. We were delighted with the result and the book-case looks though it had always been there. The work was done with real craft; it was done in good time and to our specifications.
