Significant Delays and Errors - Only the Installer and Product Quality Were Positive. I paid over £2,500 to Berkshire Blinds and Shutters (also known as Surrey Blinds and Shutters / Home County Retail Limited) for blinds throughout my flat, including a blackout blind for the bedroom. The quoted lead time was 3–5 weeks, but installation took over 14 weeks. During this time, there were multiple errors: 1) the bedroom blind measurements were incorrect (despite them coming twice onsite to measure), 2) most of the other blinds were made from the wrong material and had to be reordered, and. 3) the blackout blind required three installation visits before correctly fitted. Communication was poor, and I repeatedly had to chase for updates. In the end, I was offered a goodwill payment of only £200, which did not adequately reflect the delays and inconvenience. The only positive aspects were the installer, who was professional and punctual, and the quality of the blinds themselves once correctly delivered and installed. Overall, the service and value were disappointing, and I would not recommend this company based on my experience.Moreexpand_more
