Booked bellas catering services about six weeks before our annual xt500 motorcycle meeting. With it being our fifth meet thought of something special. Instead of a normal bbq. Looked on the web found bellas thought looks good. With 50 people to cater for we decided to go for the hog roast. On the day bellas turned up , started to set up the buffet. Food was good. But there was no where enough food for fifty people resulting in 7 people went without. Contacted james bubela told him the saga. No response. Wont use again and wont recommend. answer to the response from bellas catering the event WAS organised well there were no other guests only the 50 present.The seventy plates left were used for the bread rolls .The only food which was left was bread rolls salad and pasta.Not enough food ie hog roast.the feedback I got from the guest were not that good, and no one has booked bellas as a result of the hog roast still think there was not enough for fifty people and I was one of the people which didn't have anything to eat still wont recommend.Moreexpand_more
Response : When you have catered for over 30,000 excellent customers you are always going to come across one customer that unfortunately didn't organise his event correctly. This is the first customer in over 30 years that feels there was not enough food for 50 guests even though 70 disposable plates were actually used. We received excellent feedback from everyone at the event and have actually taken a booking off a customer at the event. There was more than enough food for all 50 guests and we let guests have 2nds and 3rds.
We then plated up all of the remaining food on disposable plates and left the remainder of the food at the venue. Robert was very happy with our service as we left the venue.Robert unfortunately did not organise the event very well and had more guests arrive over 2 hours later which by then he and his colleagues had finished off the remainder of the hog roast. Robert then had to arrange for the new guests to have something to eat. Robert should have arranged for all colleagues to have a voucher as this was a private event.We always offer support if you are organising an event and we have over 30 years of experience.
