About Beechlands Bed and Breakfast
Beechlands Bed and Breakfast is an Edwardian house situated in the village of Sleights, 3 miles from Whitby on the Yorkshire Coast. On the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors it is a good base to explore coast and countryside. There is free on street parking and free wi-fi.
There are comfortable non-smoking rooms, with complimentary hostess tray and colour TV. The substantial breakfast includes fruit juice, various cereals, full English breakfast using fresh local products, plentiful tea or coffee and toast with a choice of preserves.
A bus stop and train station are 5 minutes walk from the house, where there are regular services to Whitby, York and Middlesbrough.
There are 2 double rooms and 1 single room at Beechlands. The B&B is open throughout the year.
We are strictly non smoking and do not allow pets or children.
As Beechlands is a small friendly family home, Anne and Paul are able to spend time with their guests and offer a personal service.
We live on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and have stunning country views. Beechlands is an ideal place to stay when visiting this wonderful area.
Whitby is only 3 miles away, and robin hood's bay is only 10 minutes drive. There is also Ravenscar to visit where you can see a seal colony. The village of Sandsend is near to Whitby with a beautiful long beach and a pretty village to walk around. Further up the coast there is Runswick Bay and the quaint village of Staithes.
Whilst visiting the area, a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway is a perfect way to spend the day. The railway line runs from Pickering to Whitby, travelling through some wonderful scenery. The train stops at stations such as Goathland and Grosmont.
Other attractions in the area worth visiting our Eden camp, Castle Howard and Ryedale folk museum.
There are also waterfalls, market towns, moorland villages, clifftop walks and the larger results of Scarborough, Bridlingtonand Filey to visit. You really will be spoilt for choice!
