How can anything free not be good value. However, be very wary of using this service. I used them for a few years, but was persuaded by my accountant to change to another software. That is when the problems began. I asked for information via their support and did not even receive a reply. Since then around 3 years ago they have continued to send out email reminders to my clients for invoices that have been since settled, a long time ago. These reminders are sent approximately twice a week, with some clients receiving around 5-8 emails a week. I have tried to contact them to ask them to stop this via the email address but these are bounced and a phone no I located, they told me they were accountants and not Beanbalance themselves? This was about 4-5 weeks ago and they said they would try to contact them on my behalf. This seems to have increased the no of emails rather than stopping them.Moreexpand_more
I opened an account, it looked good but I needed something different so I deleted it but they still send me reminder emails 4 years later, apparently they ignore several requests to stop it! Please make it stop or I will.
I've been using BeanBalance for coming up to one year now and am really impressed with the ease of use for creating invoices, submitting VAT returns and allocating transactions. Have yet to use it for submitting my end of year accounts but like that fact I can ask an accountant for help through the software. On my one occasion that I couldn't work out how to do something within the software and so requested support they were prompt and helpful. Can't fault the software so far and will continue to use.
I can say with confidence that Bean Balance is the best free accounting software I have used, I have used a few over the years and found some of them a bit complicated to navigate but not with Bean Balance the lay out of the software is simple in design, There is support if needed bby experts who are willing to help.
Beanbalance is relatively easy to use, the screens are easy to read and clear so you do not the problem of lists of small print figures. When you have queries you can drill down to individual entries to identify any of your errors or misunderstandings. It would be useful to have some detailed notes on making entries to help in understanding what BB does automatically e. G. Depreciation and the effect of using an Annual Investment Allowance or writing off a pool of assets on the values to be recorded for the Bal sheet and P&L - cumulative values and the c/f values. Beanbalance is helpful to non accountants or book keepers.
Beanbalance is one of the most effective, productive tools that I have used in reagards to accounting software. I found it very user friendly, easy to understand and brief explanations provided for every step needed. Just want to say, thank you for keeping this a free, effective tool to use. Its made things very easy for me.
One of the best accounting software that I have used. Easy to use, most functions are automated (e. G. Bank statement import) and the best part is that it is knowledge-based. If a type of transaction is repetitive, Bean Balance remembers where it was posted previously and suggests the corresponding GL account - an excellent time-saver function. I am now recommending Bean Balance to all my contacts.
Fantastic - an accounts system I can understand and use! I have been using Beanbalance for six months and it has revolutionised my working practice. It does almost everything for me. I am saving a fortune on bookkeeping and accounting fees. I cannot recommend this more strongly.
I have imported my limited company on the BeanBalance free accounting software a few months ago. This was very quick and easy to do. BeanBalance is very user friendly and it really did not take long to get my head around how the software works. Within minutes all my bank transactions are allocated and I can view my company's profit and loss account and balance sheet. The invoicing function is also great - there are options to send the invoice straight to the customer and also send automated reminder emails for late payments and thank you emails when payments have been received. Customer service is also great, the very few queries I did have, were answered within hours.
