About Balance Wholefoods

We are a small, independent vegan food shop in Maghull, Liverpool, Merseyside. We opened in 2017 and our online shop went live in 2023. We specialise in health foods, such as fresh organic fruit and veg (we do weekly vegboxes as well as for sale in the shop), organic grocieries, gluten free foods, supplements, dog food, natural toiletries and houshold products. We also have a large chilled and frozen range. Our refill station for household cleaners and toiletries is very popular, not only saving on plastic but saves you money too! Everything in our shop/website is vegan and cruelty free.

Balance Wholefoods was established by us – Kate and Collette! We have been friends for over 2 decades after meeting through our mutual love of animals.

We both independently transitioned to veganism whilst in our late teens and have watched through the years how mainstream it has now become! We are passionate about veganism and are happy to answer any questions, point you in the direction of vegan swaps or recommend all the best places for vegan food in and around Merseyside.

A new chapter began for us when we opened in September 2017. Balance was a hope, a dream (that was talked about over many cups of coffee! ), but with a huge amount of encouragement and support from our amazing friends and family, it became a reality! We are so proud of our little shop, it is full of vegan goodies and we are always on the lookout for new and exciting products.
