Gaynor Stobie was amazing and has given me back my life. I was very impressed by her professionalism, support, knowledge, drive and encouragement and felt that I was in safe hands throughout. I had tried to lose weight and get fit for years on my own and had been unsuccessful but Gaynor educated me in nutrition and exercise and now 2 dress sizes smaller and 1. 5 stones lighter I feel younger than I did 10 years ago. Earlier this year I went to my GP with a persistent cough only to have her tell me that my cough was likely caused by acid reflux from over eating, having a high fat diet and leading an extremely unhealthy lifestyle. I was 12 and a half stone, lived on a diet of crisps, chocolate and ready meals and did no exercise at all. I felt embarrassed, fat and miserable. After doing some searches on healthy living, I came across the BFit website and decided to contact Gaynor. Following a telephone consultation with her, I then signed up to her group personal training course. The group PT course has consisted of an exercise class each week which I have, surprisingly, found really enjoyable. I am extremely unfit but Gaynor gently encouraged and motivated me through the exercises and I always left feeling happier and more energised. Along with this I have also followed the BFit 7 step plan and this has helped me to completely change what I eat. Rather than the disgusting fatty beige food that I used to eat, I now eat a rainbow of fresh nutritious healthy foods. I have more energy, my skin is clearer, my cough has nearly disappeared and I don't feel so down in the dumps anymore. Friends and family have commented on how well I look and I have lost 10lb in only 5 weeks. My body shape has also changed and I have lost 10cm off my tummy area as well as toning up all over. My clothes fit better and my confidence has had a boost. If somebody had told me 12 months ago, after years of inactivity, that I would now be preparing to do the Great North Run, I’ve had laughed out loud. However, thanks to Gaynor and her group PT sessions kick-starting me into action, I’m now training to do a half-marathon. Approaching 40, with two young children and a rapidly-decreasing metabolism meant I was struggling to keep the weight off as easily as before. So I decided it was time to do something for myself and also to be a positive role model to my daughters in terms of health, fitness and body image. I attended Gaynor’s PT sessions and found them to be challenging, fun, exhilarating and addictive! Gaynor is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about fitness and nutrition and, being a busy mum herself, she understands the daily challenges we all face. Whilst pushing you to achieve your max, she sets realistic goals, so you are not overwhelmed. I now intend to take my fitness to the next level, and there is only one person I’ll be doing that with. Three years after having my son and the excuse of “I’ve had a baby” was starting to wear thin. Juggling a demanding career with family life had left me feeling stressed, surviving on a diet of sugar laden snacks and takeaways and tipping the scales at almost 12 stone. Gaynor is BRILLIANT! Bootcamp classes are excellent and I feel so much healthier as a result. B-Fit doesn't stop at the end of the class Gaynor is also on hand with diet advice and recipes too. An all round great service that I would (and have) recommended to all of my friends.
Having never had to exercise I suddenly realized at the age of 53 and having enjoyed numerous cruises that my weight had started to creep up on me. I had no ambition to join a gym or spend hours jogging and knew I needed someone to help motivate me and I certainly have found that person in Gaynor. I have been attending a personal session with her for about 16 months and my goal was to drop a dress size which not only have I managed to do successfully but maintaining this has been made so much easier having followed her nutrition advice. Friends have commented not only on my weight loss but the fact of how well I look which certainly gives you great encouragement. I never get bored with her exercises as they are so varied and you always manage to fun at the sessions. I have also attended some of her boot camps which I can highly recommend. My goal was to loose weight and feel healthier and happier in myself. I achieved my goal in 6w, I continue to see Gaynor 18m later the sessions are enjoyable and I have gone from a size12/14 to a comfortable size 10 and feel great. I haven't been this size since age 14. I have recommeded her to all my friends !
Having lost four and a half stones by dieting, I was keen to tone up and maintain a healthy weight. But I wasn't at all confident about exercising, having hardly done any since it was compulsory at school! I have been going to B-Fit bootcamp for nearly 2 years now and not only has the weight stayed off, I feel younger than I did 10 years ago and I have much more confidence and energy. Gaynor's nutrition advice is invaluable, works with my busy lifestyle, and my diet is far more healthy than before. I used to regard exercise as boring and repetitive but the sessions are different every week and the bonus is that we have fun which I never believed was possible! I would recommend B-Fit to anyone especially if you are as out of practice as I was. It really doesn't take long at all to see results and it is so worth it! Thank you Gaynor!
I have been suffering from IBS for years, and it went undiagnosed until about 2 years ago after I had been in hospital for tests. I would always suffer with stomach ache and feel bloated. I was introduced to Gaynor through a fitness fanatic friend, I have never been a fan of the gym, or any form of intense exercise and I have never believed in weight watchers or slimming world or any other diets but since starting the B-Fit Bootcamps back in January 2012 I havent looked back. Not only do the sessions make a huge difference in toning, fitness and strength, but the first session includes a nutrition advice talk, and Gaynor continues to remind you of all dietary tips throughout. It has all the benefits of an intense bootcamp class with the addition of a dietary expert! They are by far value for money as you would pay more for a personal trainer / gym membership and nutritionist / weight classes. Since starting I have changed my diet and replaced the wrong foods I was eating with healthier organic alternatives and it has helped me so much. My IBS hardly ever affects me, my health has improved, I hardly get colds or flu, I feel so energised and not tired or lethargic like before. I have lost over 1 stone but it wasnt an instant weight loss it was a healthy gradual weight loss. I am so happy with the results I feel like a new person, people are always commenting on how well I look since I started. I have been attending boot camps with Gaynor for only a couple of months now, but already can feel the benefits both physically and mentally. Gaynor manages to make the sessions feel fun -and despite being tough we bounce out of our class, happy and energised each week. Being a total "gym-phobic" I normally shy away from exercise, but here there is no monotony of pounding away on the treadmills and amazingly I look forward to the sessions! I have also learned so much about nutrition - have ditched the calorie counting and focused on health, which benefits my family too. I would highly recommend Gaynor - she's a real inspiration.
I have been a client of Gaynors now for nearly 2 years. I wobbled into see her in March 2011 for personal training. She re-educated me on exercise and healthy living. With our training sessions, recipies and ongoing support, she motivated me to shed the excess weight, of which there was over 3 stone, and reminded me how much better both physically and mentally you feel when you are eating healthily and exercising properly. Her boot camps are both tough and fun at the same time. Not only have I benefited but the whole family has benefited too with healthier eating and more exercise now a way of life. Thanks Gaynor.
