Andy sorted some ‘interesting’ wiring in our light switches. Excellent service, prompt and personable.

After trying to change a light fitting ourselves and ending up with no lights, we called Andy. He came out within the hour, changed the fitting and put another two up for us too. His pricing was fair and reasonable - explained before he got here and true to his word. Thank you!

Andy replaced a main fuse board, also whilst quoting for the job informing me I needed to get Northern Powergrid to fit a new supply and giving me the details to contact them. Found him friendly, professional and very knowledgeable and would definitely recommend and use his services again.

Andy came after hours and looked at our problem with a switch and burnt wires leading to the switch. As the job required more work than expected he made sure the circuit was safe until he could return to complete the repairs. While replacing the wiring and switch he explained the causes of the problem and the repairs he was making as well as the parts he used. I was completely satisfied with the work he did and happy with the price he charged. I would recommend him and will definitely call him for any future electrical work I might require.

Andy is such a nice man to deal with. He listens to your electrical problems and explains exactly what is going on and how the issues will be rectified. We had four small jobs but which were all causing me problems to fix. He fixed them and bought in some new bits where needed, and at the end I had to badger him for an invoice for payment. I certainly recommend him and if I have further electrical jobs he will be my first port of call.

Employed Avenues Electrical to carry out an Electrical Inspection report on my daughter's house. Excellent in all respects including carrying out small improvements needed without extra charge and also co-ordinatiing power company to come and sort out their equipment in the house. Andy helped us in an emergency, out of hours, when our 24/7 Home Emergency Insurance let us down. I had never contacted him before, but he came immediately and laid my panic to rest, with his calm, competent manner. The problem was sorted quickly and full power restored. I was also very pleased not to have been billed extortionately for such unsocial hours. He gave safety advice and I'll definitely be contacting him again (but not at such a ridiculous hour! ).

At a friend's recommendation, I rang Andy to replace a consumer unit and some light fittings in a flat I own prior to letting it. His price for the work he did was half of what I'd been quoted by letting agents' contractors. He arrived within a couple of days, exactly when he said he would and was finished within a few hours. Then he came to our home and advised on a situation with our own supply that needed attention and even made the phone call required to get it done free. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant and generous professional to do the work and I'll be calling him again before too long.

We were messed around by quite a few electricians prior to Andy and Jamie coming. They took the job on (thankfully), in a large Victorian house, and did a complete re-wire. They did this whilst we lived on site (our electrics were declared dangerous! ) and they were brilliant! Arrived on time, cleared up after themselves, talked to us about our options and were brilliant around our two little ones. Kept to their word and delivered a first-class service on time and at a very high standard. Highly, highly recommend!

We chose Avenue Electrical after reading the reveiews online and I have to say we were not disappointed. Andy and Jamie completed a full occupied re wire of our home iand did an amazing job. They were both polite friendly and professional throughout the job, they cleaned and tidied every night before they left and made the process a lot less stressful than I thought it would be. Andy explained everything that was happening at every step and was always ready to answer any questions. I cannot praise this company highly enough and would recommend them to anyone.

I found Andy through excellent reviews on the internet. I was a little apprehensive due to 'dodgy' tradesmen I have experienced previously. I needed a new modern fuse board (don't know the technical term)and I knew that there were some other issues with the electrics. I have never met Andy as I am very busy so communication was via telephone, text and email. Communication was outstanding, Andy explained exactly what the work would entail (in a way I could understand - have poor understanding of electrics) and his charges. I had to involve the National Powergrid but Andy gave me with the contacts and what I needed to say. This helped tremendously. Andy kept me 'in the loop' whenever needed including sending photos of the work carried out. This gave me confidence. The cost for the work was very reasonable. Through Andy's guidance/support, the whole procedure was very easy and I appreciated this as time is tight at the moment. Throughout the work Andy was professional, honest and respectful. To be honest, Andy has probably given me the best experience when dealing with trades people in all areas. Would I recommend him to my best friend or use him again? Not knowing an electrician and with not having anyone to recommend one I purely rang on the basis of the reviews. Firstly he arrived when he said he would. Very friendly and polite. Didn't dilly dally, got on with what needed doing (fixing a couple of dogdy electrical sockets) and to a high standard. Very pleased with the work and will definitely use again for any future work. I have absolutely no issues in recommending to other people.

I rang andy with a really tricky job some sockets working some not he came the same day what agreat guy nothing was any trouble took a while to solve the problem but got there in the end would reccommend avenues to everybody.
