Be very careful if considering signing up to this company. Their agreement is very one-sided and, in my opinion, deliberately constructed to trap customers in a perpetual cycle of auto-renewal which can coincide with unavoidable, above-inflation price increases (their agreement enables increases up to 45% per year). Ash do not provide a copy of the digitally-signed, fully executed agreement nor do they publish it on their portal. Keep a copy of the agreement sent via email to hand. As a customer you will have to be very, very diligent and remember to ensure you serve notice of termination in the very deliberately limited notice window. And, forget any notion of agreeing mutual termination outside the contractual window. Ash don't appear to believe in delivering excellent, value-for-money service to retain customers: they rely on customers missing dates for issuing termination notices and then auto-renewing contracts, the terms of which are not equitable to customer and supplier. Do not rely on anything said by a salesperson unless it is then specifically written into the terms of the contract. Ash Waste standard terms include a statment absolving them form any liability for something said by any person (including their own team) but not subsequently written into the Agreement. Overall, their agreement is heavily one-sided. Treat with caution. In terms of service, not one visit from account managers since first signing over two years ago but they are now desperate to send someone out now they sense losing a contract. You would expect a visit before contract renwal to check all going well but doubt you get one shortly before renewal as this would highlight your opportunity to terminate.Moreexpand_more
DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Hard sell. Rude staff. Threats of legal action. I signed an agreement based on the information I had been given by the sales rep which on the face of it looked very competitive. I then spoke to my existing supplier and discovered I was in a rolling 12 month contract, they looked the quote I'd been given and explained how ASH work. I looked into this in more detail and found the quote wasn't as competitive as I first thought and was actually significantly more expensive than a bigger bin from my existing supplier. I decided to stay where I am. ASH Waste Services sent me a letter from their "Legal Department" demanding a payment of £333 even though they have never provided a service and I feel misled. I called their "Legal Department" this morning and was met by a rude woman who has no legal qualifications but claims to be the "Legal Department". ASH Waste Services don't have a legal department, they use the title in demands to try to scare customers into paying. It doesn't wash with me and I'm more than happy for them to take me to court. Don't take my experience in isolation, look at the other reviews on other platforms for this company. My experience isn't unique and in I wish I'd looked into them in more detail.Moreexpand_more
