Ash Carpentry

Chris Ash has carried out carpentry work at my home on several occasions, including building shelving units and boxing in kitchen appliances. He is professional, punctual and hard-working with a great eye for detail. I was very happy with the finished results and wouldnt hesitate to recommend his services to others!

We used Mr Ash for a last minute fix for carpentry problems on a show home kitchen. His approach to the workload was realistic ensuring everything was completed and his response to our time requirements was very helpful.

I have used Ash Carpentry and Joinery for first fix work in my bathroom, and second fix work in my kitchen. On both occasions I have been impressed with the quality of workmanship provided, but particularly so in the quality of the finish in my kitchen. I would happily use this company again.

I've know Chris for a number of years and I've always found him to be an excellent carpenter. He's methodical and tidy in his work. Plus he's really easy to get along with and he's very honest.

Chris fitted a timber roof to a new extension that I built. He installed the rafters and velux windows. His work was of a high quality and he was punctual, friendly, polite and professional. I would be happy to use his services again and recommend him to others.

We have employed Ash Carpentry and Joinery a few times: flooring, decorating and fitting windows. We have been very satisfied with the standard. Chris is reliable, hard working and also very tidy. We will be using him in the future.

I was very pleased with the work Chris did, the doors fit perfectly and the new floor in the hall is a very nice way to enter our home.

The wife wanted hardwood floors all throughout the downstairs. i enjoy doing DIY but i felt this was a little beyond me and the cost of making a mistake was more than my life's worth! so i called in the professionals, and that just what these guys are. saying that, they were so friendly! I find if i ask most tradesmen about their job they are all secretive and evasive. i work from home and enjoyed seeing the work progress, and even got to do a little bit! I had the guys fit me all new doors to my flat as the old ones were horrible. they were quick, did a fantastic job and even though one of the doors was damaged they got it returned and a new one fitted the same day. thanks ash carpentry! .

We required more space at our offices in seven sisters, after discussing possible options with a friend who works in design we contacted Ash carpentry as they highly recommended them. The plans called for a mezzanine floor to be built over our existing reception, a new staircase to be installed and a rearranging of the basement work space. The work was completed quickly, with minimal disruption and hassle. The quality was very high and the workers very tidy.

I wanted a set of cabinets built as a feature in the living room of our new house. I had a clear idea of what i wanted but wasn't sure how to realise it. Thankfully a friend of mine recommended the company they had used to build them a custom bed. Chris was very good at understanding what i was after even when i wasn't sure exactly the terms to use. The cabinets are exactly what i wanted, and truly make the room. In todays world when everyone seems to try and make do, pass the buck and skimp it was so nice to have people who really cared doing the job. Don't get me wrong, this wasn't a cheap job. But i dont belive in cheap things! Its false economy.

I own a few properties in Hertfordshire and was looking for someone to fit a new kitchen and do a few other odds and ends. Chris was very quick with his quotes, returning my calls and answering any questions i had. I found the work to be to a very high standard, with a real attention to detail. He was very tidy and treated my property as if it was his own. All in all a pleasant experience, which is a lot to be said as i have usually found dealing with builders to be a little challenging. I heartily recommend Ash carpentry and plan to use them in the future.

I contacted ash carpentry after reading the reviews on this site and another similar. I required a large amount of carpentry work doing in quite a short amount of time. My wife and i had planned to do the kitchen, bathroom and change all the doors. . . Before our new baby came! so with what we thought were 8 weeks to go Chris started with his team on our works. They cracked on from the first minute they came through the door and just kept working at the same pace. We even joked they were robots! The standard of work is excellent, especially Chris and Keith, the carpenters. Needless to say our 8 weeks were optimistic, little Robbie was a few weeks early. Thankfully (and astonishingly) the guys were ahead and yet still managed to speed up and get the last licks of paint and cleaning done the day before we came home.We enjoyed the project, learnt alot and are looking forward to our next project!Thanks again guys, although not for the large spurs teddy in the babies room, we're ALL Arsenal fans!Moreexpand_more

Front porch with single pitched tiled roof and three double glazed windows + block paved drive. My wife and I work full time and were happy to leave the guys at the house to get on with it. Each evening we returned home to a tidy site and all concerns/queries we had were quickly addressed so that the project was completed just as we required. Nice one lads!

I had ordered a kitchen from a major supplier but after receiving poor quality work from them on my old house i decided to try a local firm. Ash carpentry were recommended to me by a friend and im glad i took the advice. Chris (the owner of the firm) came to veiw the job two days after i had rang him, he arrived on time (to the minute) and was polite, smartly dressed and knowledgeable. after discussing my requirements and timescale he said he would be in touch the next day. He was. The quotation was detailed and competative, dont get me wrong there were others that were cheaper but l decided to go with Ash carpentry as the 1st impressions were good and the recommendation was glowing. The team arrived promptly when they said they would and proceeded to lay dust sheets before even bringing the tools in! the standard of work is very high, so high in fact i rang the suppliers to come and see a quality job.
