At ASC we offer both Personal training and some great exercise classes.

All of our training is based upon the latest and most update proven training methods that will maximise each and every training session.

All Personal training sessions are run from our own private training facility based in Hatherley.

ASC offers a professional individualised approach to building lean muscle or fat loss. Everybody is different in terms of their bodies and expectations; therefore through an initial consultation, I can find out what you want to gain from your training sessions and can develop programmes specifically for you in order to achieve your goals. This individualised approach is essential as what works for one will not necessarily be what works for another. Let me help you to achieve your goals- no matter how big they may seem!

This guy is not just a fitness instructor. His understanding of the body how it works and all the recent science is exceptional. He is extremely friendly and open to discussions and debates on subject relating to fitness and health. I started ( I was Reconended by my Chiro) almost 2 years ago, at that time I had osteoporosis and fibro. I no longer have osteoporosis it has reversed into osteopenia, and the pain that I experienced with fibro has reduced by at least 80%. If you can’t do a session he will accommodate you, including working on his days off. Also, another big game changer for me was my very severe sore back, It’s literally gone. I love so much working out with Ant that I recommended that my daughter sees him, again, she also had a severe bad back for many years and on regular basis she now says mum I have no pain anymore and admits to not believing what I was telling her. I’m a mature lady of 61 however, my biological age is 47 and without doubt Ant contributed towards this in a big way.Moreexpand_more

I’ve been a client of Ant’s for about a year. When I arrived I had specific shoulder and knee injuries. Through careful management and the tailoring of sessions, my shoulder issue very quickly improved. Continued work on and around the knee builds strength and confidence each week. A friend recommended ASC Personal Training, as I had no idea how to start a fitness regime. Anthony adapts your session to suit your individual needs, he is very patient and encouraging. Since training twice a week for nearly a year, I'm amazed how strong and fit I have become. Each training session is different and explained thoroughly, never a dull moment!

I am a client of Anthony Last (ASC Personal Trainer) and I am of a certain age (vanity won't let me disclose my actual age) but it is fair to say I am no "spring chicken". I went to see Ant because of a recurring neck problem and after an initial assessment in which I decided I liked his approach to people, I decided to have a trial period of training sessions. I am now fully committed to Ant's programme and am finding benefits in numerous areas including a much improved neck. It is fair to say that the older your get the more the muscles in your body can start to waste away -use them or lose them- and that can cause many issues. However through regular monitoring, Ant is able to demonstrate how my general fitness/strength is improving week on week. Ant fully explains why I am undertaking each exercise and the effects on the body structure and how the body will respond and the benefits therefore gained. I respect this approach. He is very knowledgeable, has a great interest in his work and provides encouragement in "bucket loads " which helps my mental approach to training. I am delighted to say I am not forcing my attendance at these training sessions (which I thought I might) but look forward to them each week. I have been training with ASC Personal Training for around 6 months now. I have to say, when I started I had no real top or tail of what to do in the gym and my fitness was quite poor. Having had personal training sessions with Ant, it has helped massively. He is very knowledgeable and very easy to get on with and encouraging to help you meet your fitness goals. There is a decent array of equipment and a really good set up! Definitely recommend Ant for personal training!

I have been training with Antony during my pregnancy with great success. All the exercises have been very safe, demonstrated in detail, hugely enjoyable and very effective to my general fitness. Antony's gym is very private and every session is different, giving great variety week by week, and working on all aspects of fitness. I would highly recommend Antony as a personal trainer during pregnancy, and intend to go back after the birth!

I have been trained by Ant for the past 4 months and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The exercises vary week on week, they are explained in full and demonstrated. Ant only expects you to do an exercise that he has tried and tested which demonstrates commitment to the profession in delivering a great service. Ant is committed to his trade and is also personable which makes training even more enjoyable. I have also used ASC Personal Training for a Kettleblast class - these are action packed and intense and you leave feeling you have achieved a lot in 45 minutes. I have been training with ASC once a week for a year now and as a result I have lost weight, gained muscle definition and increased my fitness levels. Something I have never achieved by going to the gym. Every session with ASC is filled with different exercises so no week is the same. Every exercise is explained in detail and talked through so you know exactly where you should be feeling it. The one to one sessions are designed personally for you and focuses on the areas you want to improve. I would definitely recommend ASC to anyone who wants to improve their fitness, change their shape and generally feel healthier.

I have been training with Ant for 6 months now and I have noticed a massive difference on my appearance and fitness. Friends and family have also noticed it (lots of compliments keep coming in)? . Ant tailors the exercise regimen to your needs, therefore you get the best result. He is very knowledgable and very competent as a coach too. Ant is extremely professional and I always feel very comfortable during my sessions. There is also the option to have an online personal training plan which is very affordable and complements the Face to face personal training sessions. This is particularly good if you cannot afford weekly personal training sessions. Ant gives you very honest feedback too. I was very new to training, Im 38 years old and I have probably only visited a gym around 10 times in my entire life. This has worked for me the best. Now Im greatly satisfied with my results. I've been training with Ant for 8 months now, and highly recommend him. Ant is great at what he does, explaining the techniques and exercises as he goes along, challenging you all the time and keeping the sessions varied to keep your body guessing all the time! If you're willing to put in the hard work and listen to Ant he gives you everything you need to reach your goal. In the 8 months I've been training with Ant I have seen only a small shift in terms of scales weight however I have seen big differences in the real things that matter… I have dropped a dress size, have hugely improved my body's lean mass, am much stronger and have a better posture and motel defined and "toned" figure I'm getting more and more confident in!
