Established in 1999, Artemis Glass are husband and wife team Michael and Susanne Dickinson. We design, build and install stained glass and leaded lights in homes businesses and churches. We offer a free design service and work closely with the customer through to the finished piece. We specialise in on-site repairs as well as new work and restoration. All our windows are 'one-offs' and we pride ourselves on our unique designs and the high quality end product.

Michael learnt the trade as an apprentice in Yorkshire and has been making stained glass for more than 30 years. Susanne came into the trade through a different route first doing a degree in public art and then went on to gain experience at a stained glass studio. Susanne has also been working in the field for more than 25 years.

Once we have been contacted by the customer we will often make a site visit to assess where the stained glass is to go. If it's new work we like to see the door or situation it is to go in and have a chat about design ideas and the décor, style and period of the house/property. We then go away and come up with a design and bring glass samples to look at. If the design is approved our lead time is usually about 12 weeks and we will then come back and install the window ourselves. It is nice to see a job through from start to finish. With a restoration job the process is much the same with an initial site visit. We then carefully remove the window and carry out the work back at our workshop. The initial stages of the process can be carried out via email if the customer would like to send through some photos of their stained glass and we can give an approximate quotation. We particularly pride ourselves on our on-site repair service or 'invisible repairs' as we like to call them. This is when one or several individual panes of glass are broken and can be repaired 'in-situ'.
