Leave me and my disabled son stranded for over 2 hours. We booked the cab for 10pm and you turned up at 12. 30. Phone calls every 20 minutes chasing you with lies on every call saying the driver was 10 minutes away. This lasted for 2 and a half hours. Your driver never apologised. Never spoke. Wasn’t bothered. We refused to pay. We are now blacklisted. It’s you that should be blacklisted. How is this company allowed to keep a license. Number deleted.
Absolutely awful service. Will never use again. Have used previously for a return trip from Newton-le-willows and were great. Booked and paid upfront on 19th April for a return trip tomorrow (27th May, booked for 12pm outbound - for haydock race day might I add). Paid upfront and rang earlier today (26th May, around 6pm) to double check the bookings. All was fine. At 9:40pm today I get texts and emails saying they can’t take my booking (didn’t bother ringing me), thought it must be a glitch but no, apparently the only driver who can work the booking is no longer available. Told me there’s nothing they can do, they won’t prioritise my booking given how far in advance I booked or send any one else out to Newton as they are Warrington based(the next town along? ). So I’m left trying to get a return taxi to a racecourse 10 mins from my house which is bedlam at the best of times when you book in advance. There’s less than 14 hours until I need a taxi, there’s no way in hell I’m going to get one this last minute for the races and back - is this a joke? Why is there no back up if ONE driver is unavailable? Saying you can’t do Newton with other drivers because you’re a Warrington company is a joke, it’s down the road. I would never have checked my emails, so it’s a good job I didn’t miss the text about cancellation. Have the decency to call your customers or better still don’t leave them so badly in the lurch when they’re relying on transport from you. Could not be more annoyed. Do not use.Moreexpand_more
Used these for my elderly mum and dad, if your thinking of using them for the airport transfer DONT. Very unreliable. Paid in advance aswell for my elderly mum and dad to be left stranded at the airport at 1am in the morning. Turns out it was cheaper and more reliable to get a black cab from the airport than using this company.
Worst taxi company I have used. Booked and gave them over 3 days notice to pick us up from a wedding. They suddenly decided to ring and text us a couple of hours before (which due to the wedding I could not answer and did not notice) and double the price and demand on payment prior to pickup or cancel (of course realising this was a dodgy company we had no intention of handing over our card details. Obviously this was all due to creamfields they realised it was far more lucrative to pickup festival goers and massively rip them off rather than pick us up.
When picked up the van was too high for me to enter. The driver moved the vehicle to a position where I could climb in. After the evening event was over the vehicle sent to pick me up was too high to enter. The driver summoned another vehicle which arrived within ten minutes. All the drivers involved were polite helpful and went beyond the normal level of service expected or received from other firms. Thank you for making an evening possible.
There’s a reason star do not have 5 star recommendation. The driver arrives late and put £7 on the meter for you being 4 mins late out the door. You phone the office regarding this and you just receive abuse from some ( well I don’t have words for them) on the other end of the phone and then they hang up on you when you try to explain you were simply enquiring how they justify the meter being £7 up when they are 20 mins late. We have an elderly family member who uses star on a daily bases for shopping and doctors ect. We will not be using them again the pure rudeness of this girl on the other end of the phone is appalling and if their only answer to a customer complaint is to hang up. Well you bloody moron !
Appalling service. Called the day before to book a taxi to the airport for 8:15am and were told it would be more like 8:15-8:30am which I agreed was acceptable. Called in the morning at 8:35am and told the booking was made for 8:30-8:45am (just not true) and that taxi was less than 5 mins away. After a further 10 minutes with baby strapped in the car seat called again and told taxi 30 seconds away. Further 5 minutes with no taxi and the company stop answering the phone to us. This left us 45 mins after our original booking time with still no taxi, a flight to catch and a very cranky 6 month old. Luckily we managed to call in a last minute favour from a friend but otherwise we would have been very stuck. I can not recommend enough you use another taxi company.
Booked 3 buses for a birthday night out. All buses were on time both ways. The price was very cheap. Everyone in the party enjoyed the ride, all said the buses were clean, drivers were nice friendly chatty and played good tunes. Will use again for our next night out.
The best taxi company in Warrington! Have never let me down. The service gets better and better all the time especially with the latest use of technology, confirmation messages, tracking your car service with the app. My family and friends always use Arrivals Star taxis for any journey - small, long distance, airport transfers. The drivers are helpful and very friendly. The operators are extremely professional. We feel we have always received the best value for our money and will continue recommending this Lymm taxi company to everyone.
