Ordered a low loading transverse trailer for 2 motorbikes and an e-bike and picked it up today. Very happy with my new trailer! The trailer was custom built to my requirements and exceeded expectations! They also stored it a few weeks for me because my own car broke down abroad hence I was unable to pick it up earlier. That was really nice of them!
Thursday 23rd may 2019, We delivered out motorhome to Armitages to have a bike rack and steadies fitted. All staff were friendly and professional. Everything before and after the work was checked and discussed with us. They all went out of their way to be helpful. Besides the jobs they answered various questions my husband asked offering advice and help. Nothing was too much trouble. The bike rack looks and works fab, so do the steadies. I can recommend Armitages to all fellow motorhome owners, it is in my opinion a company you can depend on. Thanks.
If you are thinking of buying a trailer from this company, you need to SERIOUSLY think again! We can not express quite how disappointed we are with the service and goods we received from Armitage Trailers. We ordered a side loading trailer for our Peugeot Metropolis tricycle and were asked for 1 measurement to ensure the bike fitted onto the trailer. On collection and loading the metropolis for the first time we found the “economy wheelchair ramp” supplied was of insufficient length to load the bike. Having borrowed ramps, we found that the wheels also did not fit into the wheel holders at the front of the trailer. This made the trailer unfit for the purpose for which it was bought. We also had a storage box fitted and was told on collection that the box had to be emptied and removed to access the ramp for use. Highly impractical! After asking for a refund we were left in limbo for a week before they could be bothered to call back to discuss. After weeks of negotiations and agreeing to let them alter the trailer, we were finally contacted and told they were incapable of making the alterations required. As the trailer was the nearest thing to what we wanted we have had to make the alterations ourselves with no financial compensation from Armitage. Their customer service has been appalling and we feel seriously let down by their inability to provide a trailer suitable for the purpose it was intended. We feel the trailer was mis-sold and not as described. Don’t touch Armitage Trailers with a barge pole.Moreexpand_more
Had a tow bar fitted to my 2013 Mercedes motorhome and an A Frame fitted to my 2015 MG3. Cannot fault workmanship quality and service. Efficient and friendly staff kept us informed of works progress throughout our stay. Very happy with price, and quality of workmanship. Would recommend this company to anybody.
